McCain was a pilot on the carrier Forrestal, off the coast of Vietnam, when one of the worst accidents in Navy history killed 134 crew members and damaged or destroyed various aircraft, including McCain's.

Surviving crewmen and those who investigated the Forrestal fire case reported that McCain deliberately 'wet-started' his A-4E Skyhawk to shake up the guy in the F-4 Phantom behind his A-4. 'Wet-starts', done either deliberately (the starter motor switch allowed kerosene to pool in the engine and give a wet start) or accidentally, shoot a large flame from the tail of the aircraft. In McCain's case, the 'wet-start' 'cooked off' and launched the M34 Zuni rocket from the rear F-4 that punctured the Skyhawk's fueltank, knocked the M-65 1000 lb bomb off it's 500 lb rated mount, and touched off the explosions and massive fire. The F-4 pilot was reportedly killed in the conflagration, along with 167 of his fellow Forrestal shipmates (including those who died later from wounds suffered). 'Wet starting' was a common practice among young 'hot-dog' pilots. McCain was quickly (they were still counting the Forrestal dead) transferred to the USS Oriskany (the only Forrestal crewman to be immediately transferred).

Considering that Obama is influenced by Obama's COMMUNIST MENTOR, Frank Marshal Davis, his policies are going to be influenced by socialism. For example, Obama wants to "SPREAD WEALTH." MANY Obama's FRIENDS are people who HATE AMERICA.

Amercans SHOUD BE WARNED BY, among many other things, "FAIRNESS DOCTRINE" and ABOLSIHMENT OF SECRET BALLOT that are to CONTROL FREE SPEACH. These are ENEMIES OF DEMOCRACY!

We should not believe the commercials on TV. He says anything to fish for votes. It is all talk, and empty promises, with no actual expriences, no past records, and no government acheivements, but only a tissue paper-thin resume. American people are smarter than, Obama is not prepared to deal with the international crises during the next 6 months. No, no, while consumers tighten belts, Obama is spending big. It proves money, and not qualification, can buy an election. Even the filthy rich Oprah Winfrey and Madonna can buy and control Barack Obama. Think of it, Joe Biden or Michelled Obama, following Hillary Clinton's footsteps, will be our president in the future, as Barack Obama is a smoker or addicted to nicotine, and chances are he will have lung-cancer or throat-cancer. In the twenty-first century, we have more information/data on cigarette-smoking than ever. Is he still living in the past century, or is it a model example for our youngsters or future generations??

Why do you keep referring to increased tax revenues with higher taxes on "the rich"? This lesson it seems is never learned no matter how many times it is lived. When you raise taxes, particularly on the rich, revenues plummet. EVERY TIME! When you lower taxes, revenues climb. EVERY TIME! Even Obama acknowledged this, but, he said, he was going to raise taxes on the rich because that would be fair. Fair to whom? When revenues fall, along with unemployment rising, who will be hurt the most? The poor and then the middle class. The rich won't suffer, THEY'RE RICH! Capital in the economy is like the gasoline in your car. If we run out, it's the poor and the middle class that will have to walk.

First, the President doesn't raise your taxes, the Congress does. If taxes concern you, then pay close attention to the Congressional races.

Second, the President doesn't spend tax money, the Congress does. See above.

Third, Obama has a web site. It explains his tax position and how it would affect you. Go there and explore his positions on taxes and other issues. Oh, wait, you could just believe the latest robo-call you got or latest TV ad you saw. That's what political strategists want you you do. THEY TAKE YOU FOR GRANTED AND DOUBT YOUR INTELLIGENCE.

Last, Sen. Obama has run a well disciplined, fiscally responsible, and futuristic campaign that has been overall very positive. Sen. McCain has lost control of his campaign, turned it over to party hacks, and couldn't raise enough money to pay his bills. Seems like this is recent executive experience that anyone could see. By the way, who is running for president in the last week, Palin or McCain?

I am loving this tool. I created a better plan than my financial planner gave me. I fired him. I’m done with paper financial plans.

Free trade is a horrible scam that has been forced on the American ppeople by both parties, but mostly by Republicans. The people who are lining their pockets from free trade are at the top of the system only. The only so called "benefit" the rest of us get out of it is shopping at Walmart, and I am not so sure the cheap prices are worth the sell out of our country.

When I was growing up, there were good jobs for Americans of every educational level. You could work with your brains or you could work with your back, but if you were willing to work there was bread on your table and a roof over your head. Now our factories are gone and the high tech industries are going fast. Don't worry though, John McCain will see that people get "re-trained" to work in our new Global Economy (for about half of what they used to make). Somebody out there is getting rich though. You can take that to the bank.

Listen carefully to his latest stump speech. He says there are some tough times ahead. He knows that taxes will go up, and he seems determined to make sure that everyone pays there fair share. Gee, what is wrong with that? All the normal party rhetoric don't play anymore. So, and all you single issue, party only, and low information voters need to go back to the study hall. This is different, and complacency doesn't work anymore. If you can't do your homework and vote accordingly, then stay home and shut up.

More Nonsense, most of us will get a tax cut from Obama, while McCain is only out to protect the Wealthiest from paying taxes. All these reactionary pundits are selling fear because they don't like change, but we can not continue down this McCain/Bush Road to Ruin. This is more of the reckless smear politics that distort reality to arouse some illogical conservative ideas that people should vote against their own interests, sorta like Greenspan's flawed economic model.

It ain't working, just spewing venomous fearmongering headlines aren't rallying anybody anymore, but evoking disgust with the negative media partisanship that let things get so bad with our economy without a peep.

Like the GOPs tenacious hold on the so called Pro-life ideology while they are pro-war at every turn of the way is as hypocritical as calling themselves patriotic as they tell their constituents that taxes are some how bad. Does that mean the GOP encourages tax evasion as a partiotic move instead of felonious? How do THEY, these so called patriots, who don't want to pay taxes figure this country will pay for their Iraq war? How do the politicians who run around accusing Democrats of tax and spend get paid? Our taxes pay their salaries and the salaries of our far more courageous military. It's not as though the GOP works for free out of the goodness of their cold, cold hearts. How do the GOP and their idiot constituents think we paid to put men on the moon or pay for national defense and the war on terror? I don't know who is more idiotic, the GOP or the people who vote for them. Taxes and death are the only things certain in life, that and the stupidity and hypocrisy of the so called "true" Americans. They also like war but want someone else's kid to not only fight it for them but pay for, that's not American that's selfish and greedy. McCain just doesn't want his wife having to pay taxes and give us a house or car. So what the GOP says is that as a country we should stagnate and crash because no one should pay taxes right? dumb asses all of them.
