Why We Care About Mitt Romney's Dog and Bullying

This hit piece reeks of flagrant lies about the LDS Church. The LDS Church does welcome outsiders; why do you think we have over 50,000 missionaries in the field? Each chapel has a sign prominently marked "Visitors Welcome". Of course, temples are different than chapels; once a temple is dedicated, it's accessible only to devout Mormons deemed sufficiently worthy by their bishops to hold temple recommends.

It is sad that a respectable national media outlet like USN&WR would publish this drivel. This is why the national media is losing respect and interest.

Every LDS Church that I have ever seen has a name plaque and on it and it states Visitors Welcome.

Romney obviously has a little man complex he’s been trying to make up for all of his life from bullying classmates to his enjoyment of firing people after gutting their companies. His Magic Mormon Underwear can’t protect him from the press but can they make enough cash rain down to win the election? See for yourself the power of these mysterious garments at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2012/05/mitt-romneys-magic-mormon-underwear.html

Romney worries me because he fits nearly all the diagnostic criteria of a socio-pathic personality disorder. Before you reject this possibility, research it a bit, on line, or in current therapy-oriented journals. Romney clearly lacks empathy and the generosity of spirit, humaneness, and other traits of the kind of person we need to get us through our violent, unfair, dangerous future. He mimics what he sees in caring, generous, insightful people, but his history of bullying and heartless business practices, as well as his odd small talk and campaign remarks, identify him as a soulless cipher.

Not proven concerning dog incident and hair cut event ever happening. Is proven fact about dope use, Rev. Wright, and Bill Ayres. There are nude photos of bum-bum’s mom on Internet.

Sarah P. and Fox caused shooter to go on rampage in AZ. Remember LIBS ? And Mitt flew to the moon on his kite as well.

As Mike said, “Obama absolutely can't run on his record”...

I don't think we care as much about the past events themselves as we care about how he handles them now. Does he take ownership of the events or brush them off? Does he show growth from the time of the events? Does he seem sincere in his regret of regrettable acts, or does he brush them off as unimportant?

I don't think he's really being very exemplary. And that's what I care about.

"Why We Care About Mitt Romney's Dog and Bullying"

...Because Obama absolutely can't run on his record, he chose not to focus on the economy, and he doesn't compare favorably to Romney in terms of qualifications or achievements.

Says “Most of the Smith's fairy tales - "Book of Mormon" - have been proven totally false by scientists and historians who study early America's cultures and history”

Won’t be proved by RL.

Coming from R.L. not believable WITHOUT THE PROOF. HE wants US to prove he is correct. Some weird-o.

RL believes increasing federal income tax on rich will increase government revenue. Yes, "There's a sucker born every minute."

Keep up your drinking...

Not what we're discussing here, Kory, and non-members can't enter the temples (an easy mistake to make for someone who isn't a Mormon).

Sue, you hit the nail on the head.

Susan,

There is something terribly amiss here - I'm starting to agree with your columns.

And this for Kory of Utah - Who writes that, non Mormons are encouraged to investigate the Church before they join.

Well, if that were the case I doubt the Mormon Church would have any members. Joe Smith, the founder of the Mormon church was a well known charlatan, con artist, petty crook and rabid polygamist. He even seduced the wives of his closet friends and associates.

Most of the Smith's fairy tales - "Book of Mormon" - have been proven totally false by scientists and historians who study early America's cultures and history.

LDS is nothing more than a cult based upon an elaborate hoax.

All that said, I must admit that I have known many good Mormon folks - just as I have known many good people who believe in aliens, Bigfoot, The Loch Ness Monster, vitamin C cures cancer, the mummy's curse, fortune tellers, and that Oliver Stone's "JFK" was accurate.

I'll leave the "bottom line" to P.T. Barnum, "There's a sucker born every minute."
