I think the point is that Limbaugh took far more heat in the media for his stupid comments than Edwards has taken for his horrible behavior and possible criminal acts.

The major difference here being the girl Rush attacked was a totally innocent woman whom he didn't even know.Rush's victim was a law student trying to make a statement to better the lives of all women. Rielle Hunter was an opportunistic gold digger who earned the disparaging remarks by her conduct.Edwards has also earneded the venom directed toward him.And as far as "wearing a condom", one would have thought Edwards would have done so but as Reille was at least 43 years old and allegedly thought she was barren, I have always thought she was more likely impregnated with a turkey baster and fertility shots along with John's DNA!

What's the purpose of this article? Yes, John Edwards is an awful human being. I don't think anyone can argue otherwise. But why bother comparing him to Rush Limbaugh, unless you're trying to make the argument that Rush is... what? A nice guy? That's like saying "Hey, leave Charles Taylor alone! Compared to Hitler, he's practically Mother Theresa!"
So I ask again: what was the purpose of this article? Do you think there's a double standard in the media? Another example of the left-wing liberal media run amok?
Nope. Edwards and Limbaugh are both awful people. The only reason Rush was lambasted recently is because his voice is always out there trying to influence politics. When's the last time Edwards has stumped for anyone? If he was still a player (the political kind, that it) Fox News would be tearing him apart right now.
