GOP Should Pay Attention to Gary Johnson's Stance on Cuba

I completely agree that we should ease our position on Cuba. I am a white American male -- and I have a wife and daughter in Cuba (they are Cubans). We have been married for 8 years and it has been a nightmare. Most marriages would have been destroyed due to the USA restrictions. The Embargo is outdated, going back to Kennedy. If we want to help ourselves, then the USA should open the doors for business and travel. Why? Because it will foster free enterprise in Cuba. This will accomplish what the Embargo has not accomplished in 50 years. Just look at China. It has made great progress regarding human rights. Is it perfect? Obviously not. However, it is much further along due entirely to the efforts of businesses and forward thinking individuals. The only time I think sanctions should be employed is if a nation is directly threatening the USA. If we do not soften our stance on Cuba, and engage with them in business and tourism, then we will push them further into the arms of Chavez. Do ourselves a favor -- end the Embargo and open wide the doors for business. Business and travel are the answers for Cuba.

Johnson has clear, responsible and actionable plans for America and the future. That's why everyone is afraid to let him talk. Take Ron Paul and add actual managerial experience. Take Mitt Romney and add consistency and discipline. There's a reason everyone googled him after the debate - he made sense.

Gary johnson is your crazy uncle in the attic and Ron Paul is the goofy grandpa in the basement . Perry is to tired to be anywhere . Mitts' in the spin cycle and can't get out .

Dom , debate Obama , Newt . As was said , anyone of them , better than Obama , as would thier cabinet be better than Obamas .

Gary Johnson?! Why wasn't he part of the national discussion several months ago? After watching his anemic performance, I now know the answer. Kudos that he should think that he can throw his hat in the race with everyone else. Perry did and Christie (sp?) is thinking about it.

Still, it was obvious, watching the debate that Johnson was content to stay at the shallow end of the pool wearing a floatation device.

DEM SHILLS LIKE THE USN&WR BLOGGING TRIO OF BANNON, SCHLESINGER & MILLIGAN (B,S & M) BE A WHISTLIN' THROUGH THE SOON TO BE OBAMA GRAVEYARD, TRYING TO AVOID THIS INEVITABILITY:

It's going to come down to Romney and Paul for the republican nomination.

If it's Romney and Obama in presidential debates, Obama will have one hand tied behind his back.

McCain was a clown who could be outhuckstered because he sought to compete on professional huckster terms -- as an amateur.

Not the same with Romney. Romney isn't a clown, and he won't try to go whole-hog on the huckster level up against the master, Obama.

If it's Paul and Obama in presidential debates, which is what I'm pulling for, Obama will be completely defenseless.

Paul can't be outhuckstered in a debate of ideas because Paul is one in whom there is no guile. And Paul being in the presidential debates with Obama would signal that the electorate finally caught up to what Paul has been saying for 20, 30 years, now that we've clearly crossed the point of fiscal sustainability with both domestic issues and global policing and nation building.

So a presidential debate between Paul and Obama would end up with Obama trying to outhuckster the viewing audience.

Keep whistlin' Milligan, it's all you got left.

PS Aren't dem shills like Susan Milligan just so thoughful and considerate? First they sing the praise of Huntsman (no threat to Obama) and now Johnson (no threat to Obama). All for our benefit of course.
