DSK Maid May Not Be Innocent, But Is Still a Victim

Milligan detailed Diallo's lack of credibility. And as anything posted on the internet lasts forever, Susan Milligan's own lack of credibility is forever enshrined by her only take on Anthony Weiner being that the media treated him... 'inexcusably' -- even after the big squirming toad liar fessed up. That is after a whole week, when he finally realized there weren't enough look-the-other-way Susan Milligans in the by-line media world to keep his big squirming toad lie afloat.

Another prime example of Susan Milligan's lack of credibility was and continues to be her total opinion silence on how Obama lawyer-shopped to get some fig leaf legal cover to launch his non-war Libyan war -- and OUR THIRD WEALTH-GUZZLING WAR. But that didn't stop her from opining on the 'harsh realities' of the Libyan civil war of course -- other than the prime harsh reality: Obama constitutionally subverted the use of our military, and congress outside of Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich rolled over on their bellies for him.

Of course if some neo-con republican gets in next as president and uses Obama's non-war Libyan war as a legal precedent to launch OUR FOURTH war, watch the frog clogging Susan Milligan's opinion throat jump out.

Another eye-roller in terms of Susan Milligan's lack of credibility is how she became Wasserman-Schultz's attack chihuahua against West. Hard to ignore what an obnoxious package W-S has been and is even though Milligan frequently decries lack of civility in political discourse. After Milligan that is suddenly discovered a lack of civility, not so curiously AFTER the Nov. 2010 midterms that put Obama and the dems on the shorter end of the stick.

The moral of the Diallo/DSK story is lost on Susan Milligan: When you habitually lack credibility you set yourself up for a fall.

PS: Whenever I read an opinion piece from Susan Milligan the movie Devil's Advocate comes to mind. The part where the Kevin Lomax character bounces a woman as a potential juror: "She's damaged goods, there's something missing from her, she's wrong, she wants on this jury, somebody hurt her and she wants revenge." Seems someone did Susan Milligan wrong a long time ago and her revenge is being brought to you by US News and World Report. Hey USN&WR: Your credibility tanks for that as well.

Lady please read the document filed by the Prosecution! It clearly states that she changed her story ABOUT THE INCIDENT ITSELF, a thousand times! Let me also state that I have worked for a non-profit, which focused on providing rape victims from inner city, with counseling. NOT ONCE did these poor women, who were victims of this heinous crime, change their stories! I am appalled by your ignorance and ARROGANCE to make assumptions! Please stick to whatever it is you are good at!

Susan Milligan, I suggest you read up on factual information about your imagined "victim" first.

Start with the 25-page "Motion to Dismiss DSK Case" from the prosecutors:

http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2011/08/22/nyregion/dsk-documents-and-court-filings.html?ref=nyregion

"Reporters" like you are either intellectually dishonest or just too lazy to read actual documents pertaining to the case.

Really Ms. Milligan? Now how, exactly, would you know that?

Oh wait, I forgot, all women are automatically members of on the many "victim classes" promoted by the Progressives. Though I must admit to being a little confused in light of the Rad-Fem agenda typified by the old Helen Reddy song. How did that go, "I am woman - Hear me roar"?

Except some (DSK) seem to be more eaqul than others

Milligan writes: "Strauss-Kahn has refused to offer his account of events"

Excuse me, Ms. Milligan, but he exercised the right that everyone has or would you like to be water boarded if you are ever called to defend yourself.

Milligan writes: "But Diallo will never have the chance to make her case."

She was given a chance but that chance was to make her case to the prosecutors first and she, not the justice system, failed herself miserably. You would have already taxed DA resources continue to pursue a clearly futile endeavor. Do you really think she would've been a great witness on the stand? The prosecutors stated that she rolled around the floor bawling when they faced her with her untruths.

Your book just automatically went into the MUST NOT READ pile.

DSK should sue ND

Nicole of IL 4:30PM August 24, 2011

with Cyrus Modaresi.

The case was screwed up from the beginning, definitely more so than ND -sorry, very bad joke but I couldn't resist-.

I've been feeling increasingly sorry for Kenneth Thomson. He was so unwise to take on a client that smarter lawyers wouldn't touch with a barge pole but I despise him for making a race issue of the case, as if you couldn't be black, poor and guilty as hell or white, powerful and innocent. But of course he becoming frantic, wondering whether he'll get any money after spending so much on ND.

I'm embarrassed for Mr Taylor when he says that his client isn't particularly proud of having had consensual sex with a hotel maid. I hope he means not proud of having a quickie with a stranger and doesn't mean not proud of having sex with a pleb !

Ms. Milligan's statement of "she lied about being gang-raped in her home country (not unusual for someone desperately trying to escape a troubled nation)" is most telling.

1) If you actually read court documents, she made up this lie while being questioned by prosecutors.

2) Lying about gang rape is SERIOUS. Feminist groups always make a point that rape often goes unreported because of the shame felt by victims. If that is the case, why would Diallo lie about rape...GANG rape no less. Do you mean that a self-respecting woman, who many claim she is, would lie about being gang rape to escape her circumstances, no matter how dire?

Despite being faced with all the bald faced lies from this woman, you give this woman every benefit of the doubt without giving a shred of consideration that she might've been just evil enough to wrongfully accuse someone and have him locked up for years. It happens more than you seem to be willing to consider.

RM of HI 4:20PM August 24, 2011

She didn't have to make up the gang rape story : having been mutilated when she was a little girl would have been enough.

She didn't have to lie about living with two children. Oops sorry, she wanted a flat in a low rent house.

She didn't have to launder money for her drug dealing 'brother'.

A victim ? Whatever happens she's likely to get money from the case. If not through the civil suit, at least through selling her story to a publisher.

Dominique Strauss Kahn has been robbed of his future as a likely French president, robbed of his IMF post where he did a remarkable job. He's seen his beloved -and much cheated upon, but that's their issue- wife suffer public humiliation.

It's only fair that he should sue ND.
