I GUESS THE OWNERS AN PLAYERS TAKE THE FANS FOR GRANTED. MAYBE IF THEY CAN'T GET SOME AGREEMENT BY MIDDLE OF AUGUST, FANS SHOULD GOP ON STRIKE FOR THE FIRST HALF OF SEASON TO DRIVE DOWN COST OF TICKETS AND REFRESHMENT....I MEAN THEY ARE DECIDING ON WHAT THEY ARE DOING WITH THE FANS MONEY, JUST DON'T GO TOP THE GAMES...IT'S ALL ABOUT CREED. WAT THE ECONOMY IS GOING WE MIGHT NOT HAVE ANY MONEY TO BUY GAS TO GO TO THE GAME. I SAY FANS SHOULD RISE AND HOLD THIER OWN WALK OUT. HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT SEASON.

I dropped watching and supporting sports after the basball strike cancelled the World Series over a decade ago. The NBA is a bunch of tattooed thugs now and it is moving into the rest of the sports. The greed of all involved makes me sick.

I would be a cold day in hades before I would buy and wear some article of clothing promoting any sport of company. Many do and are a bunch of tools if you ask me.

Have supported the Denver Broncos for years, buying their NFL jerseys and other, NFL Network and even special programing to see their games in Georgia. No more, If the owners and players are too greedy to give back anything as they have shown, it is time for me to focus on other interests. It's a shame that their willing to give up so much. Men and Women I guess it is a message to get our houses in order and focus on our families, focusing on playing football and other with them instead of the entertainment and inactivity that is provided by the NFL. It will be a big adjustment, but one that will make us better. I'm all in.

Please take 30 seconds for this NFL Fan Boycott Petition. Just 30 seconds, I promise to never ask you for a favor again after this! =)

Here is the link, I'm trying to get 2.5 million signatures and with your help we can do it!

http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/NFL-fans-boycott-to-prevent-all-future-sports-lockouts/

If we're successful with this one, then the NBA and NHL who may have lockouts in the next 4-7 won't even think about it! If everyone boycotted the NFL from all games, merchandise, and I'm even boycotting the TV games (I'll watch replays of course where the tv advertisers don't get the benefit) it would be devastating to the NFL and they might wake up!

Any help I would really appreciate it! If we can get 2.5 millon signatures it might even prevent a lockout altogether!

Take Care,

"Ideally, the teams would follow the example of the Super Bowl-winning Green Bay Packers and be run as nonprofits owned by the city residents. The players have organized to protect their rights. It’s time the fans and host cities did the same thing."

Better yet, Why don't we just start our own NFL. Every state can have their own team. A small amount of taxes can pay for it, with a price cap on tickets and a price cap on salaries. This way any fan can afford to go to a game, and there are never any worries about a team moving, the team belongs to the fans. Any profits made can go back to the state/the taxpaying fan!

Due to the current labor situation in the nfl, members of this group will not purchase anything with the nfl logo on it till the year 2013. Join Fan Strike on facebook and take the pledge.

I'm on board Susan - they want it to be "America's Sport"...prove it. Porbably one of the most ignorant and un-american things i saw on the ticker of espn the other day was "owners have put enough money to the side in case of a lockout"...do they even understand what we, the fans, are going through?!

I would love to see a boycott....have EA sports run simulated games on TV (madden football) - and as long as the fan base has the "stones' and the staying power, we could put these owners out of business....how about "project phoenix" where new owners that dont have such a craving for defference and a better respect for the fans "rise from the ashes" -

these owners are america's versions of the tyrannical dictators overseas....i cant stand any one of em - we pay those players...and now you're gonna shut us out?!

I'm on board - go viral...those owners forgot about the fans-

GO VIRAL!!!!!!!!

Although I agree with your "FAST" procedure there it just wont work. You are asking beyond too much from a fan base that absolutely loves its football people wont be able to refrain themselves from the sport for too long.

But you sure can stage a Boycott for one game! across the nation you can have fans not show up for the opening game of the year, and you can have them not watch it on TV for that one Sunday.

That is going to be your best bet on this issue, if it ever gets down to August or September where the season is threatened. if they resolve this thing in May 98% of people will forget about it by the time the thing starts. And please dont paint the overpaid millionaires that play the game as the victims, they are enjoying the fat end of the pie for a while now and need to be reminded who's in charge. They are NOT forced to play football for a profession, they can choose to do something else. and the minimum salary in the NFL is $375,000.00 per year.

Even a guy in the practice squad which all they do is "practice" or in other words do absolutely nothing but show up and run around everyday makes $5200 a week!!! A WEEK!!!!! and you want to pin this on the owners??? no this thing is on the players if they want more "revenue" money BUY YOUR OWN TEAM!!! greedy players

I agree that fans should hit the owners and players where it hurts, in their pockets. I learned years ago a strategy of protest that might just work here.

Most owners and many players are owners, partners or investors in other businesses. If fans put together a list of businesses associated with NFL owners and players, they can boycott the products of those businesses.

You think sponsors dropped Tiger Woods like a hot potato, wait'll affiliated businesses of the NFL see a drop in sales and investments. Watch as television & satellite affiliates begin suing the NFL because Fans are cancelling subscriptions due to the NFL's negligent behavior.

There's more fans than owners and players, it would definitely get their attention. We fans have much more power than we realize. The key is to organize and act with a tactical purpose.

Boycott NFL Products and affiliated businesses. Organize!

The owners should contribute more to the communities in which their club is located; more for retired and injured players and then the playeers should accept present day salaries and go back to work, otherwise the government should step in and fine the owners, players union, and players for ever day they are out. To be honest I'd just as soon see more collage games on TV. I think the owners and players are screwing the public.
