...for the subhuman gun dealer who sold loughner his glock.

time to make these money-grubbing merchants of death bear responsibility for indiscriminately selling weapons to the deranged.

but for starters, we'll settle for seeing the guilty Sportsman's Warehouse staff member exposed, with his/her name and address spread far and wide.

points to the Walmart employee who refused to see loughner ammo. responsibility and morality in the weapons biz aren't completely dead yet--just on life support.

"President Obama has showed no signs he wants to take away anyone’s guns.

You CAN'T be serious! I believe you are smarter than this and are actually being very disingenuous! The ONLY reason Obama hasn't attempted to bring his strong anti second amendment views into fruition is because he doesn't have the POWER to do that with so much opposition in place. Anything he proposes in this area will be defeated and he will alienate a number of his supporters who believe in the peoples' rights. His previous writings on the subject make it very clear where his sentiments lie and I seriously doubt that you are ignorant of them! Be an HONEST person!

The right to posses a weapon was given to us by our forefathers. I was born in NY and when I rode the subways I was denied the right to protect myself or family from thugs.

A guy by the name of Bernard Gertz or some such name was mugged and decided to illegally carry a gun to protect himself. What are the odds that he would again be attacked by three hoodlums until he shot them in the assss. I do not think they felt the freedom to repeat their acts in the future, although I would be willing to bet they found other illegal activies to pursue

I now live in a state where I can carry a weapon, no one knows when I elect to carry, but there is an attitude here that every one carries so that you have less criminal actions then as on the NY subway. This other then the criminals who will get guns one way or the other.

I know of state legislators who carry when they go into high crime areas. People like the anti gun advocate mayor Bloomberg are well protected by armed guards that follow him around, but the average New Yorker has no such rights. How is it right that a politician can be protected but the average NY citizen can not protect himself, it does not make sense does it?

The retard that shot the congresswomen in Tucson had nothing but crossed wires in his head and I am sure that when he had rational moments, he like any other terrorist could figure out how to hurt people, as did the Uni bomber.

So my point is guns do not hurt people, but people hurt people. And as a reminder, it is my understanding that in Israel every reserve member of the military have a AR-15 in their hall closet and some how their are no mass shootings.

More people are killed by drunk drivers, and drivers busy doing something other than driving everyday, than are people killed in a year. Why are you not railing against those who want all of us to be able to drive? Why are you not railing against the court systems for refusing to put drunk drivers away for life?

Why are you sitting here bitch'n about guns yet not one word is mentioned about cigarettes? Find something else to complain for crying out loud.

Miller went so far as to define the type of small arms the right is intended to employ - military small arms, of the type normally issued to foot soldiers.

Heller removed the 'militia' argument - it is an individual right. (But hey, anyone with a BRAIN knew that.)

McDonald incorporated the federal prohibition against the states. Sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.

THE ARGUMENT IS OVER.

All you meddlesome anti-2nd Amendment rights jackwagons can go pound sand. And, DON'T COME BACK, EITHER.

I have no problem with gun rights. I do, though, with gun wrongs. Your right, and mine, to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness has been abridged by the right to gun ownership. Any one of us can be shot dead by accident or intention at any time because among gun owners are too many who should not own. It's a fact.

Why has there been no successful federal legislation designed better to assure the safety of each and every one of us from those who shouldn't pack heat? Check out the effective scare tactics of groups like the National Rifle Association and Guns and Patriots. They use them to fire up their membership against any effort to conduct background checks on would-be owners and to cow elected representatives and senators into submission to their anti-regulatory agendas. And just in case, they contribute to political campaigns quite generously. Public safety be damned, the statistics on deaths by shooting no evidence in the face of right to own whatever heat one chooses and in whatever quantities.

Remember: I said I have no problem with gun rights but do with gun wrongs. There's no denying the deadly disadvantage to us all of wrong owners. See the January 24th issue of Time magazine for some proof.

“English language”

“Oh don’t forget”

“guaranteed to commit”

_Don't you feel petty and foolish...

Bill Hedges of MO 5:47PM January 28, 2011

Funny thing W.L. if you knew ANYTHING about English literature or the proper rules governing the meaning of words in a complex sentence, you would understand that there is no rule about a dependent or independent clause preceding the other.

Maybe if you had a modicum of intelligence, you will review which part of the second amendment "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed" is (hint, it is the independent clause) and how the independent clause determines the meaning of the entire complex sentence and has done so through the ENTIRE history of the english language!

But that would require you to think, that may be asking too much for you eh?

Speaking of thinking, how is it that you feel it is necessary to blame the innocent on a regular basis? After all the government does acknowledge 80% of all violent crimes are committed by career criminals/gang members USDOJ National Gang Threat Assessment 2009.

Oh dont forget, you are leaving out those wonderfully insane individuals who just by being near an inanimate object, are guaranteed to cvommit a violent act based on your, cough, cough, unsupported beliefs.

Wow, combine both those groups and you have over 95% of all deaths by firearms in a year.

So again, why is it the little Chihuahua is barking at the 80 million law abiding gun owners, you know, those not responsible for 95% of the deaths by firearms in a year?

Jarhead1982 of MI 5:27PM January 28, 2011

So, you bet every legal law abiding gun owner in the USA needs to beware of

Barack Hussein Obama, the most sneaky gun control and gun grabber power mad

petty tyrants to every occupy positions of power and authority in the USA!...

And,don't forget WW2 Nazi Dictator Adolf Hilter and USSR Communist Dictator

Josef Stalin also confiscated their own citizens firearms, just like the new Kenyan

Dictator Barack Hussein Obama and his Comrade Eric Holder have already let it

be known they want nothing less then total control of everything and everyone

here in the USA and so,you bet that means more unworkable gun controls that

will be followed by total firearms confiscation and which NYC Liberal Mayor Micheal Bloomberg supports 100% as well. Just SaY NO to Obama.Holder and

their New Pal Bloomberg New World Socialist Dictatorship in the USA!

Please tell your US Senators & Member of Control No More Gun Control and

Firearms Confiscation by Obama and Holder! Join NRA & Gun Owners of America.

The first 13 words of the second amendment are:

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary for the security of a free state .."

Why do those words PREECEDE "the right of the people to keep and BEAR ARMS shall not be infringed.

Obviously, since we had no Army, Marines, Coast Guard, Navy, the only defense of our free state was farmers with muzzle loaders to BEAR ARMS.

So this amendment was to allow us to, note: keep and BEAR ARMS

The NRA has paid "government" since forever to ignore those first 13 words, so we loose to guns 34 people every month as the cost of their doing their business.

Lets be honest. It's a money-making, politician-buying big deal to get those first 13 words ignored. American corpses? No problem. But if TERRORISTS killed 34 people a month, we'd be up in arms - to coin a phrase.

Ask ANY law-enforcement organization how they feel about our reckless tolerance of guns. A 31 shot Glock kills PEOPLE, nothing else.
