"but who certainly is benefiting financially"

That's the whole Sarah Palin story in a nutshell. It's not about running for anything or accomplishing anything. It's about keeping her name out front so she can sell books and be on TV.

I agree about Sarah's narcissism. So please don;t talk about her since it is encouraging her feeling of "a Im the center of.."

Believe me, plenty of conservative people like me do not feel identified with her

statements. As her good looks doesn't make her an honest politician Mr. Obama's elocuence doesn't change the way he handles the country.

While I can't say that I'm a big fan of Mrs. Palin, this afterall is a Democratic Republic and she had the right to say what she said even if it was to take advantage of a tragedy to paint herself as a victim. If such is her mentality that she is a victim as well then so be it. But the main point is that some will fiercely argue that every citizen has a right to bear arms but there must be some sort of consensus as to just what type of weapons should be available to the public. 15-30 round ammo clips, AK-47's, Uzi's, heck even 50-cal sniper rifles are available and for what? This cruel, senseless act was not an attack on democracy but on the system we use to prop it up with.

You spelled Narcissism wrong...

WELL SAID!!!!!!!!

Poor Sarah, demonstrably a victim of the massacre in Tucson. She needs to get back on her horse reloaded to take on the lamestream media who want to blame her for every paranoid kook in the country.

Lay off her, she obviously is full of remorse that anyone dare tie her for stirring up the anti-government militia mentality like that shootist in AZ exhibited. Its not Palin's fault that some of these anti-government extremists get the idea to assassinate politicians. Its not her fault that anti-government secessionist groups who want to undermine our country by threatening violence as a form of political coercion, sorta like the Alaska Independence Party Palin officially recognized as governor and her husband Todd belonged to.

Get off your soapbox about Palin!

Leave her alone already, she doesn't need any advice to put her best foot forward like she's doing defending herself for being criticized for going negative that violates her First Amendment rights. Don't blame her if everyone associates gun scope symbols with targeting for assassination.

She is just doing her job, only trying to get rich off inflaming the low-information pro-wrestling viewers who thrive on dishonest allusions to violence and hate. She is doing great at it and gets paid the big bucks to stir up hate, bigotry and misinformation - and its not her fault if she's is the star quarterback for the anti-government team. She can't help it if all the white supremacy groups love her and would jump thru hoops on anything she says. Its not like she has ties to white supremacy groups and hangs out in Northern Idaho with them.

Let's not censor Sarah Palin for all her violent gun-toting rhetoric, all while she seems to be hanging herself out to dry with her shallow aloofness in her responses to this shooting. Let her compete for the center of attention like the anti-government nutjob who decided to bring a gun to our political arena and massacre innocent citizens participating in our democracy.

Clearly, it was not Palin who associated her name with the AZ shooting. So it is absolutely ridiculous to insist that she is asserting her name into this tragedy and benefiting from it.

Sadly, as ridiculous as it is, it is not surprising that left-leaning pundits continue to drone on and on irregardless of truth or logic. It is pure dribble, and characteristic of the left.

Mike Johnson of FL 10:48AM January 18, 2011

This lady is so naive about history and the political process that it is sickening.

She did and that makes you a liar:

"Full text of Sarah Palin's statement1/12/11 7:15 AM EST Updated: 1/12/11 4:59 PM EST"

"Like millions of Americans I learned of the tragic events in Arizona on Saturday, and my heart broke for the innocent victims. No words can fill the hole left by the death of an innocent, but we do mourn for the victims’ families as we express our sympathy."

"I agree with the sentiments shared yesterday at the beautiful Catholic Mass held in honor of the victims. The Mass will hopefully help begin a healing process for the families touched by this tragedy and for our country."

"Our exceptional nation, so vibrant with ideas and the passionate exchange and debate of ideas, is a light to the rest of the world. Congresswoman Giffords and her constituents were exercising their right to exchange ideas that day, to celebrate our Republic’s core values and peacefully assemble to petition our government. It’s inexcusable and incomprehensible why a single evil man took the lives of peaceful citizens that day."

"There is a bittersweet irony that the strength of the American spirit shines brightest in times of tragedy. We saw that in Arizona. We saw the tenacity of those clinging to life, the compassion of those who kept the victims alive, and the heroism of those who overpowered a deranged gunman."

"Like many, I’ve spent the past few days reflecting on what happened and praying for guidance. After this shocking tragedy, I listened at first puzzled, then with concern, and now with sadness, to the irresponsible statements from people attempting to apportion blame for this terrible event."

"President Reagan said, “We must reject the idea that every time a law’s broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.” Acts of monstrous criminality stand on their own. They begin and end with the criminals who commit them, not collectively with all the citizens of a state, not with those who listen to talk radio, not with maps of swing districts used by both sides of the aisle, not with law-abiding citizens who respectfully exercise their First Amendment rights at campaign rallies, not with those who proudly voted in the last election."
