You made my day. I was cracking up reading that "energy" nonsense. You go girl; you'll do more damage to the liberal cause than conservatives could EVER do.

Democrats blew it. Got to blame anybody else but themseles. Democrat candidates, except a few, don't run on passed legislation unless they voted against.

Democrats have had supermajority in Congress and did whatever they wanted. What stopped them is other Democrats and decency.

What Bull... Rich pay the tax burden. Lower bottom half of income people pay no Federal tax.

Get real. Don't make this stuff up...

angellight of PA you write well. Good enough to throw the bull for the White House. Check with Press guy for barry...

Of course we need change, but it is hard to make change in an atmosphere of fear!

Yet, Pres. Obama and the Dems are trying to bring about positive change but the GOP and Big Money want to stop them with lies, mistruths and distortions, perpetuating an atmosphere of "fear". Big Money does not like that Pres. Obama's administration has already passed credit card reform, healthcare reform, equal pay for women, and many other people accomplishments. He has created more jobs in his first 8 months than the whole 8 years of the Bush administration. This is a fact. He has also lowered taxes for most Americans except the top 2 percent, main stream media will not tell you about that little tidbit! Job growth is coupled with an Investment in America and her infrastructure; to cut and not re-build is to deplete America to nothing.

The reason we Americans have such a high-tax burden is because for years and years, due to tax loopholes, and tax breaks, the wealthy and big business Corporations have had to pay very little or no taxes at all, so average, everyday Americans have to shoudler the tax burden. Is this fair? Let's be clear, Loopholes are just another way to lie, cheat and steal and basically, get over on the American people.

And, why on earth would minority leader Boehner, stand side-by-side over the weekend with a Nazi sympathizer and dignify that dark and shameful era is beyond belief? If that does not tell you something about their dark mindset. Of course, media did not cover that much either. Along with the GOP, media too have sunk to a new low.

By Tom Carney: "It is worth noting that the people’s victory in the 2008 election cycle which saw the election of the our first African American President was driven by the energy of Hope. Hope is Cosmic Energy. It is an aspect of the Mother. It is another name for Goodwill. It sustains and nurtures and makes a way for the Good to appear.

That this Cosmic power has been the target of the onslaught of fear and hate generated by the sophists of darkness is understandable. They are terrified by Hope. People who have hope and faith, have courage. They can and do cooperate for the Common good and the General Welfare. They are indefatigable and undefeatable.

So today, the retrogressive forces have managed to create a virtual 100 year storm of fear and hate that has sapped the hope and faith of many of our brothers and sisters. What we need to do is realize that the dominant vision in the national media is a lie, an illusion ginned up to terrorize us and make us doubt our hope and faith.

A war crimes tribunal at Gitmo sentenced a Canadian man to 8 more years. This site made no mention of trial. Then again, trial was not held in NYC. Courts stop Bush from doing this. Later changed. Just as no court order wire type was controversial, later ok'ed by courts.

Many things barry condemned Bush for, obama now supports and does. Common tread coming from barry is Bush did it, all right for him to do. Now barry has done something Bush only wanted to do.

Must make liberals proud, that upgrades to Gitmo was done and we continue to us the facilities. Now with trials.

barry following in Bush's footsteps. Except with multiple increased debt. Beating Bush in under 2 years with plenty of debt to spare...

Some obama broken promises:

“No. 24: End income tax for seniors making less than $50,000

No. 30: End no-bid contracts above $25,000

No. 71: Allow imported prescription drugs

No. 86: Direct the Secretary of Health and Human Services to conduct a comprehensive study of federal cancer initiatives

No. 221: Double the Peace Corps

No. 234: Allow five days of public comment before signing bills

No. 240: Tougher rules against revolving door for lobbyists and former officials

No. 249: Double funding for afterschool programs

No. 292: Urge states to treat same-sex couples with full equality in their family and adoption laws

No. 313: Allow bankruptcy judges to modify terms of a home mortgage

No. 331: Re-establish the National Aeronautics and Space Council

No. 339: Support human mission to moon by 2020

No. 379: Pay for the national service plan without increasing the deficit

No. 428: Give annual "State of the World" address

No. 431: Reduce earmarks to 1994 levels

No. 491: Provide an annual report on "state of our energy future"

1) Obama/Biden stumping in Ohio:

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/10/31/obama-biden-stump-buckeye-state//#content

2) Obama pleads Dems to get out the vote:

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/vote-2010-president-obama-pleads-democrats-vote/comments?type=story&id=12017378

3)Battle for Senate down to last few days:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/39933286/ns/politics-the_new_york_times

...by a very wide majority, the "anti-Democrats" are overwhelmingly out in force!

Frankly, I perdict the Republicans will win much, much, more than all the polls predictions.

Reasoning:

1) The Democrat-Liberal base is a very ignorant group. They vote primarily with their emotions and do not (or can not) engage in indepth reading, thus, the induction of irrational and unreasonable patterns of thinking.

2) The Democrat-Liberal base prefer welfare checks and food stamps over paychecks, thus; very little motivation, and, as a result, very little ambition (even to get out to vote)!

3) The Republicans (the "working majority') are no longer "sleeping" as with the 2008 presidential election. They have awakened with a "no-stopping-us-now" resolve to put an end to the current upheaval of our great country.

All of which tell me that the current Democratic-controlled Senate is also in deep, deep, do-do!

Everyone, PLEASE VOTE!

So now negative ads are the sole property of Republicans !!!

You have your excuse for losing...

Bill Hedges of MO 4:08PM October 31, 2010

This is an obvious GOP/TP attempt at voter suppression and it is working. Negativity turns people off. Low turnout helps the GOP because most people don't share their views or benefit from their agenda.

steve of IL 3:09PM October 31, 2010

Was this vote something planned 2 weeks ago ? Did we not know it was coming ?

Are these men and women much, much more likely to be liberal dodging bullets or conservative ?

No shame…

Bill Hedges of MO 1:36PM October 30, 2010

So long as they're true and not sensationalized. Rumor, innuendo, biased personal opinions are not the same as objective facts and evidence. The Perry smear reeks of character assassination - not facts.

R.L. Schaefer of CA 1:11PM October 30, 2010

...has sent, to date, ten large mailers to my home full of only

negative junk about his opponent, Meg Whitman!

Not a word RE: What he's going to do for California!

Anyway, where is this guy getting the $$$ for all of these mailers?? The Democrats are renouned for spending our $$$ and I suspect this is part of his shenanigans (Grandma's word).

I'm voting for Meg!

In addition, he was Governer of Ca. in 1978-1982 and opposed the property tax initiative (Prop 13), which many states copy-cated. He says of Prop 13, "All things sacred must come to an end".

Not only that, at 72, he's just another old "flatutate" (...and we want another one?)!
