Why Is Barney Frank Pretending to Be Nice?

Barney Frank is the best argument for term limits. He's been doing what he thought best for so long he can't even remember what's best for his constituents or the rest of the country.

The rest of the country gains so much joy from watching this buffoon make a fool of himself (and New Englanders) every time he opens his mouth. Please put him in office again so that we can laugh at his male-prostitute gay lover antics and all the other wacky stuff that makes you all look like morons to the rest of the nation. As a son of the south, I wish he could be yall's representative forever!

For the reason Barney Frank's finance reform legislation prevents the Federal Reserve form doing another bank bailout, Republicans are against this financial reform. The GOP passed the TARP bailout and the GOP would do it again in a heartbeat, especially now since bankers ad wall street have bought such a large stake in the Republican party with all the unlimited campaign spending.

Last I recall fiscal conservatives like me were against TARP, and tea partyites sad they were against TARP.

I'm for finance reform not repealing it. We have didn't go far enough. We should still bring back Glass-Steagal!

That Barney's legislation and power in Congress was a key factor leading to the housing crisis should be undisputed. But he still disputes it. There is smart, and then there is honest. Frank may know and understand politics, but he is not smart in such things as avoiding an economic meltdown.

Even after his bad unsmart choices that pushed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to give out loans to those who shouldn't have been given loans, and his efforts to force banks to offer sub-primes or else; he still is making poor judgment calls on the economy. He is now wanting to create a housing bubble for renters, and has pushed for trillions of dollars in stimulus and health care that is doing anything BUT fixing the economy. Just how smart is that? Not smart for America, though it may be enriching his personal coffers.

As for the woman who challenged Barney, perhaps using the term "Nazi" was a poor choice of words, but her overall comments were spot on. His nasty remark showed that he has placed himself above the electorate. He has come to the point of expecting to be re-elected because it is his to have. What happened to real statesmen, who humbly sought to serve the people of the Union? Did he skip out on the grade school classes teaching tact, honesty, and the Constitutional responsibilities of those in his office? He should not be a Congressman, because he views himself as King Barney, rather than a servant of the people.

Is a creepy, smug, dishonest, gay troll and should be in prison.

Uh.... Not feeling very inclusive or tolerant today....sorry.

His boyfriend worked for one of the firms. Thanks to Frank Bush failed to get necessary legislation to stop this recession.

Smart is ok in Congress. Not recession maker Frank...
