“Obama, D-Ill., won by a 6-point margin in the popular vote…”

Bill Hedges of MO 7:19PM September 19, 2010

obama won by 6 %. Isn't that fairly close to Christine O'donnell's margin ?

Bill Hedges of MO 6:59PM September 19, 2010

Her margin of victory in Delaware was about 3,500 votes out of 57,000 according to the State of Delaware's Department of elections.

Tea party landslide? I doubt that.

The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is the American Branch of a society which originated in England... (and)...believes national boundaries should be obliterated and One-World rule established.'

- Carroll Quigley, member of Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), mentor to Bill Clinton

TRAINED TO RULE. DOES YOUR VOTE COUNT AT ALL?

Planning to vote for one of these people? Great. just understand that they're all members of the CFR, which is telling them to work toward weakening your freedom in the name of a New World Order. Your vote really means zippo (unless you vote for someone other than an Establishment Republican, RINO or Democrat, Establishment Democrat Moderate).

The reason we must vote out Establishment Government Representatives, whether they are Left or Right, Incumbent or Candidate is explained on this 2 minute News Clip below:

Voters came out of woodworks to vote Tea in DE. Alaska as well got rid of pro obama voting Republican. More examples are out there.

“Extremists” tea ? Maybe to Steve. The great Reid and Boxer do not sleep well. Polls show they may have to go to private sector if they wish to be employed. Maybe we can provide a rocking chair as a departing gift.

Christmas twice this year is LOOKING GOOD…

Tea Party extremism has nothing to offer the American People. More and more people are jobless, homeless and in poverty. The GOP/Tea Parties have NO solution. More tax cuts for the rich won't work. They harp on the federal deficit but the tax cuts and the recession caused the deficit, not discretionary spending designed to bring recovery. The deficit, in other words, was caused mostly by the recession, not the reverse. Paul Krugman explains;

"Can we agree that the deficit in the first quarter of 2009 — recall that Barack Obama didn’t take office until Jan. 20, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act wasn’t passed until Feb. 17 and, essentially, no stimulus funds had been spent — had nothing to do with Obama’s polices, and was entirely a Bush legacy? Yet the deficit had already surged to almost 9 percent of G.D.P. Even in the second quarter of 2009...Obama’s policies had barely begun to take effect, and the deficit was already over 10 percent of G.D.P...the deficit is overwhelmingly the result of the economic slump, not Obama policies."

Bush's tax cuts not only failed to spur growth and led to financial bubbles and a collapse of the US economy; they also led to negative real federal tax revenue growth between 2001 and 2008. Here are the BEA statistics for those years;

http://www.bea.gov/national/nipaweb/TableView.asp?SelectedTable=87&ViewSeries=NO&Java=no&Request3Place=N&3Place=N&FromView=YES&Freq=Year&FirstYear=2001&LastYear=2008&3Place=N&Update=Update&JavaBox=no

I am quite sure that Tea Party extremism will alienate most voters come November. The Democrats need to remind those same voters what led them to vote for Obama for president in overwhelming numbers in the first place.

I don't see how electing a bunch of dummies is going to help the US. In point of fact , look at the train wreck called "bush". We sure don't want to do that again, eight lost years of misdirection and screw-ups. And it was so unnecessary. By catering to the lunatic fringe and encouraging the consumption of fix news the GOOP has created a monster. And it has come back to bite them. They are devolving, sinking lower and lower each year. They are becoming a cult of stupidity.

shane of CO 3:11PM September 18, 2010

Bush's approval ratings were much lower during times of less unemployment. Obama has a real mess to clean up. Too bad he has no magic wand. It will take time. No one responds to my proven assertion that jobless recoveries have been the norm for two decades and that Bush's job market recovery took four years after one of the most mild recessions on record while Obama has only been in office a little over 18 months and he is performing much better after the worst disaster since the Great Depression. Bush ruined the GOP and now the tea party will finally finish the job. But only November will really tell.

Ummm.... Reagan was a former Democrat....

How did you become a political reporter again?
