Another tired diatribe from a handwringing apologist. Trying to find and logic and meaning where none exists. Osama was wrong. He committed heinous crimes. He deserved to die. He has no excuse and shame on you for thinking he deserved one.

Our men and women pay a supreme price to allow us to maintain and have our freedoms. How do you repay that priceless privilege? You deficate on their graves. You are a sad, pathetic American. I want to restate that. You aren't American. You are simply sad and pathetic.

I'm thrilled and elated that the last thing the deludid idiot saw was an American wearing an American flag on his shoulder and holding an American made weapon in his face.

"If there are more than one duty to be carried out, then the most important one should receive priority. Clearly after Belief (Imaan) there is no more important duty than pushing the American enemy out of the holy land."--bin Laden

Bush appeased bin Laden by moving our troops out of the "land of the two holy places," upon which bin Laden retired to his fancy villa.

Our policies in the Middle East were excuses for bin Laden to attack us. Most (not all) of his complaints were fabrications or misinterpretations of our policies. They were not the reasons.

His reasons were that he wanted to impose, ultimately, global Islamic rule - period.

With or without our policies as an excuse, he would have attacked us, sooner or later.

Better understanding of bin Laden's initial motives would have allowed us to use better tactics against him but I don't believe for a moment that even if the US had withdrawn all its forces from the Middle East and stopped supporting israel that he and his kind would have stopped their attacks against us. The religious fanaticism that transformed him and so many of his followers into monsters would have not have let him stop there. There is no peace to be had with them.

And what might we have done differently? Abandoned Israel to the non-existent mercies of the Arab world? That would have been an act of treachery. Stood idly by while the Arab world fell deeper into the abyss and bred an even more dangerous enemy until it finally reached the point where we could ignore it no further? We saw the what can happen when we don't take our enemies seriously enough on 9/11 and that could have been far worse than it was.

Frankly, while your criticisms do have some merit, you fail to offer an alternative that feel would have been superior. So, what's the point?

If you do the research, you will find the compound was constructed in 2005 at a cost of 5 million dollars. Not sure what your definition of seedy is....does it just sound catchy?
