The Most Offensive Thing About John Derbyshire's 'Talk' Article

It is late. Pardon my previous lapse of proofreading. My first sentence in my post should have read "...with which this conversation is taking place.."
I couldn't bear to not correct that. Thank you to US news for allowing immediate posting of comments and not requiring a Facebook account to post. You deserve a medal for that alone.

The timidity which which this conversation is taking is place holds true to form for the typical citizen soldier of political correctness.
Sensibly minded people of Caucasian ancestry can freely admit the reasons why blacks might be driven to violence, and thus should be avoided. Outside of the stultifying bubble of modern day professional journalistic etiquette, such matters are easily understood. I dare say what John Derbyshire wrote is something that most white Americans take as a given, and conduct their lives in accordance with.
But in case it isn't clear enough to some poor deluded soul out there who might happen to be reading these words, as to exactly why it is that so many modern day backs harbor aggression and retain a deep animus towards whites writ large:
Imagine growing up as the descendant of an African slave. Imagine then, to carry the idea further along, being aware that the general opinion of the whites in the country of your birth is that, in spite of all the confusion and anguish brought about by your lot in life as one who has been displaced from his or her true home, that you really ought to just be thankful for not having been born into dire poverty; that is to say, in any of the West African lands from which the slave population was drawn.
Given this ongoing attitude amongst the citizens, especially the more forthright of the White community who are less willing to exercise tact in such matters, and whose attitude is no doubt shared by even the most meager and faithful inside American Christendom, it is not too far of a stretch, I believe, to suggest that there is just cause for lack a of desire to be assimilated. After all, as an African descendant, you are born into a situation in which the glaring and inescapable fact of life is that you are looked upon as an unfortunate scourge and one of life's annoyances that must be endured; especially given that the option of outright deportation has long since been taken off the table. It would most certainly create in you a psychological scar which perhaps might lead to a lack of desire to be completely Westernized. Acknowledging this scar is a necessary first step towards finding a valid explanation for the well known violent trends of black behavior in the generations since emancipation. One must at the very least admit that it is a likely contributor to the feeling of modern day African descendants towards life in America.
Having said all of that, I do not believe that this in any way makes these descendants entitled to the fruits of labor of those who are not presently morally culpable for the wrongs committed by men in times past; stated differently, reparations are not in order.
As regards black on black crime, who can doubt that it is but one of many side effects of the inborn despondency already referred to. The problem will not play itself out, it seems. We are destined to be a land of two disparate peoples for as long as I see on the horizon.

Everybody says there is this RACE problem. Everybody says this RACE problem will be solved when the third world pours into EVERY White country and ONLY into White countries.
The Netherlands and Belgium are just as crowded as Japan or Taiwan, but nobody says Japan or Taiwan will solve this RACE problem by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them.
Everybody says the final solution to this RACE problem is for EVERY White country and ONLY White countries to “assimilate,” i.e., intermarry, with all those non-Whites.
What if I said there was this RACE problem and this RACE problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into EVERY black country and ONLY into black countries?
How long would it take anyone to realize I’m not talking about a RACE problem. I am talking about the final solution to the BLACK problem?
And how long would it take any sane black man to notice this and what kind of psycho black man wouldn’t object to this?
But if I tell that obvious truth about the ongoing program of genocide against my race, the White race, Liberals and respectable conservatives agree that I am a naziwhowantstokillsixmillionjews.
They say they are anti-racist. What they are is anti-White.
Anti-racist is a code word for anti-White.

Prejudice... PRE.... JUDGE
Hate to inform you.... but what you just said is the epitome of prejudice. You make a decision or suspicion before any one has made any action against you good or bad. The fact that you are basing it on the color of people's skin makes it RACIAL PREJUDICE.
The Idea that you find this behavior acceptable and can treat black people and probably other races similarly makes you RACIST.
Why is it everyone I try to discuss prejudice or racism with, both black and white, don't understand prejudice behavior... People need to first understand what exactly is prejudiced behavior before there can be any type of SERIOUS discussion about race in this country.

John's greatest contribution of his blunt article is that he has brought our country's biggest problem out in the open .Political correctness is not going to solve the deep social problems and divisions we face. Rich Lawry and his cowardly cohorts at National Review plus all the liberal wags offer no solutions besides empty condemnations. Why not examine point by pont all of Derbyshire's "outrageous" comments and demand some accountability from our political leadership of all persuasions.

The problem for many white people, especially those without prejudice, is that they know that the vast majority of young black males are not law-abiding citizens.
Many young black males are out of work, perhaps more than the numbers that are given which is 30%. When they go for a job and haven't graduated high school, can't speak clear or understandable English because that may not be possible with their peers, or even dressing in a way that doesn't give a possible employer confidence with their pants falling down, they aren't hired.
Fundamentally, what the writer did not address is that many whites, Hispanics and Asians understand that somewhere near half of all young black males, those between the ages of 17 and 24 (or between 14 and 25 depending on the stats) are in prison, in juvie, just out of prison, on parole or in the criminal justice system in some way.
And if you add to that the numbers of those that are not caught, the drive-by shooters, black youth on black youth crimes, or those currently in or just out of the hospital for vicious shooting and knifing wounds, the numbers of young black males who are dangerous may be far higher than the 50% given when I was a reporter.

Except that Derbyshire's talk wasn't directed at blacks. It was directed at his children, and it consisted of general rules to help them stay safe.
What did he say that isn't true?
