I am stunned that no one has commented on the fact that Mitt Romney believes that the dark skinned people of the world are that way because they have been cursed by god. He has said it many times... if you have dark skin color, then you have been cursed thy the lord.

Wake up America... Santorum is no better. He believes that the president should be a christian man that will lead the country according to christian values. The problem is that he is a liar, and a fraud.

I"m frustrated at the dumbassity of the american people as it pertains to politics, but if find cumfort in knowing that president obama will be in office for another 4 years.

WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!!!

Friend Hedges, you keep dodging the question, what spending cuts do you propose, that can be actually enacted in to law, with no tax increases and/or even more tax cuts, that will balance the budget? I went to Newt.org to see his brilliant ideas, I got a one sentence solution: "Balance the budget by growing the economy, controlling spending, implementing money saving reforms, and replacing destructive policies and regulatory agencies with new approaches." Very short on specifics yes? Most Pubs talk about spending cuts with no specificity because to do the draconian cuts that would be required would be unpalatable to the majority of voters.

I am not a fan of R. Paul nor Romney but Newt. Tax cuts for rich increase government revenue. CBO ESTIMATES agree with you that it causes debt. Actual CBO numbers show me CORRECT. There is the factor with increased revenue through tax cuts for rich Congress out spends revenue thus added debt. Newt was able to control that.

Here is a relative short link that may help explain this to you:

...sorry, it's a panacea that cannot work in all case....

Friend Hedges, I repeat, Romney has no plan to balance the budget. Economists agree his tax cuts will throw us hundreds of billions further in to debt and I have seen no spending cut proposals coming from him other than the cliche's we always get, fraud, waste and duplication. Yawn.

Tax cuts, I know this is going to be hard to swallow, is not the cure for everthing. Pubs are a one-trick pony. Good economy, tas cut, bad economy, tax cut, high debt, tax cut, low debt, tax cut, war, tax cut, peace, tax cut. It's a panacea t

Please tell me, what spending cuts are you proposing, that you think will actually get in to law and that will balance the budget. Pick any time frame, six months, ten years, thirty years.

Bill C. tax increases failed to generate the revenue. Newt’s tax cuts DID. Your “budget debt buster” is in reality tax INCREASES. NEWT balanced budget Bill C. fought. Cutting government spending THAT IS PUBLIC DEBT.

Balanced budget is HEART OF TEA...

I wouldn't make too much of Romney's LDS faith. Do all Christians subscribe to Levitcus? Romney is no racist. He's a good capable smart man. The election will be close. However, it is interesting to see the tea partiers willing to abandon their principles to get a "winner". Too bad the tea partiers in Congress are so unwilling to compromise as obviously as their voters are.

I will not vote for Romney, but not because of his religion or character, but because of his policies. His tax policy alone is a budget debt buster. He has zero ideas on how to balance the budget. Apparently that's o.k. with the tea partiers.

What happened to all the headlines that said, "Nobody has ever won President of the United States in the general election without also winning Ohio in the Primaries!"

It seemed like that was all I the news I could find until yesterday when Mitt Romney won Ohio.

Where are those stories? What happened to them? A few candidates lost in Ohio so does that ultimatum not apply to them?

The hypocritical media just wants to paint doom and gloom for the eventual person to take on Obama.

Hang in their Mitt millions stand with you and reinforcements are on the way!

The following is a passage from the Book of Mormon. Don't trust me... look it up yourself. 2nd Nephi, Chapter 5 beginning at verse 20.

ANYONE WHO BELIEVES THIS SHOULD NOT BE IN THE WHITE HOUSE!!!!!

ANYONE WHO BELIEVES THIS CRAP IS A RACIST!!!!

SEE BELOW...

20 Wherefore, the word of the Lord was fulfilled which he spake unto me, saying that: Inasmuch as they will not hearken unto thy words they shall be cut off from the presence of the Lord. And behold, they were cut off from his presence.

21 And he had caused the acursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing, because of their iniquity. For behold, they had hardened their hearts against him, that they had become like unto a flint; wherefore, as they were white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome, that they might not be centicing unto my people the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them.

22 And thus saith the Lord God: I will cause that they shall be aloathsome unto thy people, save they shall repent of their iniquities.

23 And cursed shall be the seed of him that mixeth with their seed; for they shall be cursed even with the same cursing. And the Lord spake it, and it was done.

24 And because of their acursing which was upon them they did become an bidle people, full of mischief and subtlety, and did seek in the wilderness for beasts of prey.

25 And the Lord God said unto me: They shall be a scourge unto thy seed, to stir them up in remembrance of me; and inasmuch as they will not remember me, and hearken unto my words, they shall scourge them even unto destruction.

I am quite perplexed with the nature of the coverage by the US media. Romney has won:

* Most states;

* Most delegates

* Most popular votes (by far - well over a million based on reaclearpolitics data)

Yet the media coverage is generally quite negative, as he was a loser. He indeed did much better than Obama against Hillary in 2008 (Hillary indeed won more popular vote and states in super tuesday). I am sorry to say but most good politician in history were not as charismatic as most American so-called media expert perceive to be. One seeks a politician to be efficient - one does not elect a super stars which have historically failed their nations.

I think that the coverage of Romney is quite unjust (from both left and right) - the left journalists know that he can beat Obama, and the extreme right are intellectually are in another universe unknown to most educated human beings!
