Mitt Romney's Struggles in the South a Sign of Trouble to Come

In the general election Romney will win the South. The South is reliably Republican, but how will he win Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania after bashing union workers and the auto bailout? Wisconsin and Ohio have very unpopluar Republican Governors. So does North Carolina and Florida. Hard to see how he gets the electoral college nod. Nevada has a large LDS voter bloc, but even then the Mountain states will be challenging. Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado have huge Hispanic votes and the Republican party has done everything they can to tick those people off. Hard to read the tea leaves, either it's close or it's a blow-out. If the economy tanks, it will be close, if it continues to improve, then it's a blow-out. Romney has painted himself as a one-trick pony, job creator. He has little else. I'm saying that, and I actually personally like the guy! I won't vote for him though.

The following is a passage from the Book of Mormon. Don't trust me... look it up yourself. 2nd Nephi, Chapter 5 beginning at verse 20.

ANYONE WHO BELIEVES THIS SHOULD NOT BE IN THE WHITE HOUSE!!!!!

ANYONE WHO BELIEVES THIS CRAP IS A RACIST!!!!

SEE BELOW...

20 Wherefore, the word of the Lord was fulfilled which he spake unto me, saying that: Inasmuch as they will not hearken unto thy words they shall be cut off from the presence of the Lord. And behold, they were cut off from his presence.

21 And he had caused the acursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing, because of their iniquity. For behold, they had hardened their hearts against him, that they had become like unto a flint; wherefore, as they were white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome, that they might not be centicing unto my people the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them.

22 And thus saith the Lord God: I will cause that they shall be aloathsome unto thy people, save they shall repent of their iniquities.

23 And cursed shall be the seed of him that mixeth with their seed; for they shall be cursed even with the same cursing. And the Lord spake it, and it was done.

24 And because of their acursing which was upon them they did become an bidle people, full of mischief and subtlety, and did seek in the wilderness for beasts of prey.

25 And the Lord God said unto me: They shall be a scourge unto thy seed, to stir them up in remembrance of me; and inasmuch as they will not remember me, and hearken unto my words, they shall scourge them even unto destruction.

Willie,

Perhaps I wasn't clear. I was referring to the '08 primary, not the general. McCain won North Carolina. Huckabee had dropped out by then, but still...

Wake up, Republicans...Romney is unelectable. Just look at it state by state. Tell me, McCain/Graham/Castle, which States will Romney pick up from the losing McCain campaign of 4 years ago? MAYBE Va & Nc, but that is being extremely generous. My point is that Romney has a built-in ceiling of 210 electoral votes tops. He'll probably hold down between 35 and 45 % of the popular vote. Given that fact, as a GENUINE conservative I intend to vote for Obama if Romney is our nominee. I would much rather see Romney lose in a coast-to-coast landslide (35%) than turn in a respectable loss (45%). I can only hope (in vain, probably) that if the margin of defeat is humiliating enough, the McCain/Graham/Castle/Huckabee forces will be forced into the political wilderness for a good 10 or 20 years... if Romney manages to hold on to a decent number of states when he loses, those same dingleberries will surely be aggressively pushing yet *another* McCain clone on us in 2016, 2020, etc. I think some of the so-called fiscal conservatives in the GOP are going to be stunned in November. A LOT of states that they currently think of as "safe GOP" may suddenly be in play.

McCain did not win North Carolina in 2008. Obama won North Carolina in 2008. And North Carolina also elected its first woman governor, a Democrat. Do your homework.
