Awhile back in Oregon a sick lady with cancer was offered death pill but not expensive cancer treatment. Occurs in other Countries as well. With private health insurance you have a contract. If they break contract, you have legal rights. Not with bumcare. Not everyone is going to receive heart operations that need them. Death panel will evaluate the person and decide. Cost containment considered and National debt.

As we allow women to choice death for babies in the womb so government will decide if you are worthy to live. China has limitation of babies. Maybe at age 65 automatic extermination to save social security & the environment ? Is convenient for law makers. Liberal’s ultimate utopia :

So what happens if someone chooses not to purchase insurance and becomes ill or is the victim of a serious accident and shows up uninsured at a hospital?

Under Paul's plan, do we let them die? Do we treat them anyway and expect the healthcare system to just absorb the cost? Do we bankrupt the unlucky patient? Because any catastrophic injury or illness is going to cost $100,000 at least, up to millions at most.

I am pretty sure most people are not going to stand for medical practitioners standing by with the ability to save a life and withhold treatment due to inability to pay, so I cannot really see anyone accepting or enforcing Mr. Paul's consequences of not buying insurance.

The current system is basically expecting the insured to pay extra to cover the cost of the uninsured. The healthcare system writes off some, government subsidizes some, and each of us who pays $10 for a Tylenol tablet in the hospital are paying for uninsured care.

If we plan to get every last cent out of every patient, will we deplete their savings, take over their homes and property and garnish their wages for the rest of their lives or else force them into bankrpuptcy?

I am not sure these are good options Mr. Paul is presenting. I don't know what the answers are, but I really can't see the American public truly accepting Mr. Paul's proposal of no insurance => no care.

I am not in favor of allowing some to opt out of paying their fair share and expecting the insured to foot the bill for them to exempt themselves from paying premiums and still expecting to get their care paid for by others.

mr. bill you have a perverted sense of history with regard to newt.

just as i said, the other candidates have their knives out and plenty of ammunition to use on newt.his drop in the polls shows bares that out.it;s all down hill from here.

Dropped your obumcare argument ? Can’t blame you. I won it !!! Like I won ethic committee agrument. You give false information like when you said Newt was booted out of House. You said Cain cheated on his wife. Are you JUST A BLOWHARD ??? A jester ??? Fiction writer ???

Your original argument was Newt was booted out. That was sign of your ignorance. Yes, as I have said, Newt made enemies beating former Speaker and impeachment of Bill C. I also stated Newt stepped down for party’s own good NOT wanting to cost seats. A few “strongly suggested that newt leave the house”. A few “strongly suggested that” obuma GO HOME. BUM cost record breaking lose of seats throughout this Nation Nov. 2, 2010.

For Newt that was a life time ago. Life time ago THE BUM was doing ILLEGAL DRUGS. Today, obuma has Democrats in Congress that don’t like him.

You still cling to the ethic committee old outdated ruling. It was demolished by court ruling in his favor. You see newspaper accusing Newt but don’t see his newspaper clearing him of charges. Faced with evidence you ignore. That proves you are a nincompoop...

mr. bill lets put this nonsense to rest.after being reprimand , costing the g.o.p. seats and losing the respect of his fellow members it was strongly suggested that newt leave the house.

those are the facts!

They want to repeal that worthless pork barrel piece of garage called bumacare. 4 year wait for most of it that increases National debt and cost JOBS according to CBO. Death panel. You have no contract and don’t know your benefits like my heath plan. Death panel decides what benefits you are entitled to. If worthy. If cost rise as it will, what happened in England and other Countries will occur here. Rationing. In Cuba, most get LITTLE heath care.

There is nothing wrong with working with health care industries for Newt or f/f as far as that goes. Now what the bum did with Acorn was WRONG. Is sad lie when I hear THAT dumb dumb say he inherited the recession. He helped CAUSE.

brucetee if you are going to complain about Newt working for f/f then say what he did wrong and prove. Newt said he did not lobby. PROVE HE DID. You give false information like when you said Newt was booted out of House. You said Cain cheated on his wife. Are you JUST A BLOWHARD ??? A jester ??? Fiction writer ???

both mitt and newt would love to run on the individual mandate along with universal coverage.their problem is that obama and the dems beat them to the punch.

in another case of noot hypocrisy.newt's out there railing about obamacare, all the while he;s sticking his fat fist in the cookie jar of one of the largest members of the healthcare industry.
