Newt Gingrich Isn't to Blame for Polarized Congress

Newt Gingrich may not have been formally charged with a crime and given jail time, but his ethics and conduct were disappointing to all members of the Ethics Committee (See Washington Post article. below). If you had a friend and/or business partner, and you had been lied to by him on business matters; and you gave him money to help pay for his old mother's operation, but, instead, he spent it all on a gambling trip for himself, and lied about this too, you might not have him arrested, but do you really want to choose him again to help run your business?

Newt Gingrich has trouble staying true to his word--ethically and morally. It may not be a crime, but it is an unprincipled way to act when representing the citizens of this country. It is also arrogant of Gingrich to have openly done this, with no thought of the disservice he was doing to the dignity of his Office as Speaker. I, personally, would be embarrassed for him.

It is also worrying that Gingrich is not revealing his donors which becomes a problem for us citizens who want to vote for a candidate based on a candidate's plans and policies. Citizens will not know just who is influencing Gingrich's decisions. This article sheds "light" on why Gingrich is allowed to do this.

Again, corporate "citizens" are greatly influencing the vote while human citizens will continue to be uninformed on the actual plans and policies of Romney and Gingrich.

The following site is an interesting reflection on Newt Gingrich as a Presidential candidate now, and whether his past "reputation" while a Speaker will continue to beleaguer him:

Yes, Newt was fined for one exceedingly minor infraction after 75 other charges were found to be totally baseless - fined for not reading closely enough papers filled out and filed with the IRS by his lawyers - for which he was later cleared by the IRS.

Much akin to someone being convicted for something, fined, and later exonerated by DNA evidence - except that the charges and ensuing witch hunt were entirely politically motivated.

And much unlike the charges against Clinton, who lied to a Grand Jury - something that had you or I been found guilty of, we would spend some quality jail time.

Give it up, Bruce - the "tawdry conduct" charges against Newt haven't held water ever since he was cleared by the IRS 13 years ago.

As solace for your continually being wrong on just about everything, Newt most likely will never get back the $300,000 he paid as the fine for those bogus charges.

Part 2...

For the fun of it. What charges was Newt found guilty of that caused $$$ 300,000 fine ???

That should keep you off this article or be ignored by you...

BY the way, what facts did you give ? I disproved them SO EASILY...

another newt supporter who has chosen to ignore the facts.and would rather live in the world of fiction.

oh well, to each his own.

1.Newt was the opposite of “polarizing” getting things done as Speaker. Working with Bill C. and Bill C. so admits along with finding common ground with Democrats in Congress. Many people “did play a part” in “polarizing”.

2.“temper tantrum throwing spoiled child”

When the Bum jumped police, defending his professor friend, I thought that was a “temper tantrum throwing spoiled child”. Blaming anyone but himself is “temper tantrum throwing spoiled child” are others. Funny & pathetic example is Harry Reid protecting his Cowboy Poetic Society from the chopping block cuts.

3.“shutting down the government after being made in the back on air force one”

I don't know the significance of Air Force One has to do with anything, but Bill C. gets great pleasure stealing credit for balancing budget & surplus. It took closing down government to get Bill C. to sign a balanced budget. Bill C. never had one before that. Thanks for adding BIG PLUS for Newt brucetee.

4.“being fined and censured for shabby conduct while he was speaker.”

Rehashing disproved stuff again brucetee !!! BORING !!! Newt found guilty of a few SMALL THINGS. NO big deal. Vast majority of charges DROPPED. Remaining Big ONE , classes, was originally cleared by ethic committee and courts ruled in Newt's favor. Have you no sense ? Or is it you have no memory. Or is this ALL YOU HAVE is repeating & twisting the facts at your political liberal limited disposal. I have no need of using disproved facts against obuma.

Facts show there was no justification for $$$ 300,000 fine. You rehashed same old, boring JUNK...

Bill Hedges of MO 8:59PM December 21, 2011

it may be true that newt is not responsible for all that polarizes congress, his actions did play a part in the same.

theres enough other acts that newt was part of during his tenure as speaker. from his acting like a temper tantrum throwing spoiled child.in shutting down the government after being made in the back on air force one.from his being fined and censured for shabby conduct while he was speaker.

just two of the nemerous reasons why, this person, is unfit to serve.
