bill you need to get more source,s of information than just rush limbaugh and faux news with all their far-right,and off the wall, propaganda of which most of it is is just rubbish.

as to you and sarah palin and death panels, you, and others, are misrepresenting what was said and what is in the bill.the gist of it is people,by their choice, can receive end of life counselling.it ,s sad that you,and others, have to resort to scare tactics and falsehoods on this matter.

"ObamaCare Lies, Vol. 4"

"The “Let their words do the talking” edition.

Claim: There are no death panels in ObamaCare! That’s just another crazy right-wing scare tactic.

Fact: Yes, there are! But don’t take our word for it. Listen to one of the leading liberal proponents of ObamaCare, left-winger Paul Krugman, a Nobel Prize winning economist. On November 14, on ABC News’ This Week, he said, “Medicare is going to have to decide what it’s going to pay for . . . it’s going to have to decide which medical procedures are not effective at all and should not be paid for at all. In other words . . . the panel that was part of the health care reform. … Some years down the pike we’re going to get the real solution . . . a combination of death panels and sales taxes. …” See the video here!"

"Claim: There are no death panels in ObamaCare! That’s just another crazy right-wing scare tactic.

Fact: It can’t be a right-wing scare tactic when proud liberals agree: New York Times columnist and Nobel Prize winning liberal economist Paul Krugman says there are death panels! In fact, he wants the government debt commission to “embrace” them! We don’t agree with Mr. Krugman on much, but at least he is honest enough to say what the Obama administration and its apologists won’t. See the video here!"

"Claim: “Death Panels” in ObamaCare are the imagination of right-wing extremists.

Fact: The nation’s leading liberal economist, Paul Krugman, a New York Times columnist, Ivy League professor and a Nobel Prize winner, someone looked to by liberal politicians and policy makers, repeatedly has said that there are death panels! He said so last week and in the spring he said “death panels” “will make binding judgments and . . . will save (the government) quite a lot of money.” See the video here!"

"Claim: ObamaCare does not fund abortion. The president even signed an executive order banning federal funds from use in abortions.

Fact: ObamaCare does fund abortion! An executive order does not carry the weight of law and he knows it. It was cover for Democrats who live in pro-life districts after their amendment banning federal funding for abortion was stripped out of the bill. Executive orders only pertain to the administration of the executive branch and cannot amend laws. Only Congress can amend laws with the president’s signature. (Source: National Right To Life.)

Claim: The president signed an executive order banning abortion funding from ObamaCare."

Bill Hedges of MO 5:13AM February 16, 2011

Fact: The executive order is meaningless. Even Planned Parenthood called it a “symbolic gesture” because it knows it does not carry the force of law. Planned Parenthood would not have celebrated ObamaCare if it thought the president was undermining the abortion funding provisions from which it will financially benefit at taxpayer expense. ( See PP’s own statement here at LifeNews.com.)

Claim: There is nothing in ObamaCare that mentions abortion funding.

Fact: That’s part of the insidiousness of the law – it doesn’t say it directly, but sets up every state to cover abortion with tax money through government-run high-risk insurance pools. It says elective abortions are not covered, but does not define “elective” deferring to state laws. Already, Pennsylvania and Maryland are in the process of creating these pools with $160 million and $85 million, respectively, of your tax dollars, which will pay for abortions under their loose definitions of necessary abortions. (See page 14 of the law and The New American.)

Claim: There’s no proof states are paying for abortions through ObamaCare.

Fact: Why take our word for it? Here is a quote from the Maryland Health Insurance Plan: “The MHIP Federal Plan offers the same benefit package as other MHIP plan options,” and all five MHIP plans cover abortion. The loophole banning taxpayer funding of abortion is so large, the pretend restrictions were unnecessary. (Source: CNSNews.com)

Claim: Even if abortion is covered in Obamacare, it won’t apply to many women.

Fact: Oh yeah? The law requires the coverage of pre-existing conditions (including pregnancy) and people who earn up to 400 percent of the poverty line are eligible to enter state high-risk taxpayer-funded insurance pools. That’s no small number. (Source:CNSNews.com)

Claim: ObamaCare is good for the healthcare industry, will create jobs and provide coverage for more Americans than every before.

Fact: The Great Pumpkin has a better chance of appearing than that happening. The Association of American Medical Colleges reports that a previously projected shortfall of physicians of 39,600 by 2015, now will rise to a shortfall of 63,000 and grow worse by 2025. Although ObamaCare advocates say this is not true, by its own projections, it will cover 32 million newly insured people with another 36 million entering Medicare. To pay for these people, the government-run insurance programs will cut payments to doctors, driving more out of the profession. (Source: Reuters.)

Claim: No matter what you say about the lack of primary care physicians, ObamaCare provides for enough specialists.

Fact: Wrong again. The Association of American Medical Colleges projected a shortage of 33,100 physicians in specialties such as cardiology, oncology and emergency medicine in 2015. In addition, the respected Rand Corporation and Institute of Medicine also project doctor shortages. (Source: Reuters.)

"So why do they say he had a surplus?"

'As is usually the case in claims such as this, it has to do with Washington doublespeak and political smoke and mirrors."

"Understanding what happened requires understanding two concepts of what makes up the national debt. The national debt is made up of public debt and intragovernmental holdings. The public debt is debt held by the public, normally including things such as treasury bills, savings bonds, and other instruments the public can purchase from the government. Intragovernmental holdings, on the other hand, is when the government borrows money from itself--mostly borrowing money from social security."

"Looking at the makeup of the national debt and the claimed surpluses for the last 4 Clinton fiscal years, we have the following table:"

"Notice that while the public debt went down in each of those four years, the intragovernmental holdings went up each year by a far greater amount--and, in turn, the total national debt (which is public debt + intragovernmental holdings) went up. Therein lies the discrepancy."

"When it is claimed that Clinton paid down the national debt, that is patently false--as can be seen, the national debt went up every single year. What Clinton did do was pay down the public debt--notice that the claimed surplus is relatively close to the decrease in the public debt for those years. But he paid down the public debt by borrowing far more money in the form of intragovernmental holdings (mostly Social Security)."

the only real problem with social security is people like you and that con man from wisconsin paul ryan who want to dismantle a system that has served millions for over seventy years. all this under pretense"saving the system"when their real goal is to funnel money off to the wall street brokers so that they can futher enrich themselves and the folks in d.c. it didnt work when bush tried pushing it and wont work now.

"All In: GOP Embraces Entitlement Reform"

barry has rarely risen above candidate pay grade. barry didn't accept matching funds did he ? Enough special interest big donations allowed that. With barry's record he should not be paid as president, as failed CEO's shouldn't be according to liberals.

barry came up with budget, wasting lots of good paper. We need to go to 2008 budget, prior to barry inflating it at least 125 % and more.

I have no problem with closing some military bases, here and overseas.

Barry is playing politics, hiding in White House basement corner under boxes wanting Republicans to make the Presidential hard choices. Thinking this will give him second term.

Say what you want about GW Bush, he wanted to reform social security because that program is in trouble, and he warned of Clinton’s housing mess loan program recession. In particular, Fannie & Freddie.

One bad bond sell, where our debt is not bought, and our Nation is in worse position than California and Illinois.

This budget was due Oct. 2010. Author quoted Martin Luther King Jr.. The Republican Party came about, joining with slaves and free Blacks, for their rights. How appropriate we now break the chains of government debt.

Bill Hedges of MO 10:30PM February 15, 2011

He's all talk

He's an empty suit

Obama failed us on unemployment - 18% when you count people who have stopped looking for jobs

Obama failed us on protecting the borders - still open - and he's suing Arizona for following the law !!

Obama failed the gulf states - the oil moratoriom still in place hurting us more than original spill.

Obama failed us on the military - he's done nothing but insult them and defund them

Obama failed us on the science front - canned mission to Mars - practically shut down Nasa

Obama failed us on healthcare - trillion dollar gov take-over - with death panels and $$ for abortion

Obama failed small business - all sorts of punitive taxes and beuracracy hidden in "healthcare' bill.

Obama claimed success in Eqypt - but he doesn't HEAR THE PEOPLE IN HIS OWN COUNTRY!!

Really tired of this guy of CO 6:17PM February 15, 2011
