Religion and Science: No Fight Club Here

Intelligent design creationism is about as "scientific" as astrology or geocentrism or flat-earth geography or the "demonic possession" theory of disease causation. Essentially all of its supporters are overt or covert religious apologists - not actual scientists. The Discovery Institute (the mothership of intelligent design creationism) brags about getting a pitiful one percent of one percent of all scientists to sign a statement opposing evolution. On the other hand, essentially every actual science organization in the United States has issued a statement condemning intelligent design creationism and supporting evolution. The "cdesign proponentsists" (Google the term if you're not familiar with it) have nothing to add to science education - they just want to dumb it down.
