One of the other problems with a brokered convention is that unlike in years past when that was the norm, there aren't really any legitimate "brokers" any more. In the past, there were powers who controlled delegate groups and constituencies but that's not true any more so it's hard to know exactly who would be in the smoky back rooms and what they would have to offer.
