Well Robert, it was a 'partisan crack' it was also spun like a top, false and glaringly incomplete.
The reality is the Republicans wanted actual Cuts to spending...Why? Because we are borrowing at an unsustainable level; 41% at present and that will increase under both the Democrats or Obamas plan.
The Obama administration and the all Democratic Congress of 2009 increased National Spending @28%, pushing borrowing to levels never before seen, and adding to a mountain of debt that if not stopped will cripple our nation for decades.
Nither on the Floor or in the Committee have Democrats offered actual cuts in spending at all...Never. All they offer is accounting gimmicks, with a promised reduction in the rate of growth sometime in the future...False imaginary cuts from an already generous baseline increase. The reality is the Democrats/Progressives offered No real cuts to anything, nor would they agree to any actual Cuts at all.
At no time have the Democrats/Progressives/Obama offered a rational argument, or reasonable solution to our spending problem...in fact their argument is to deny all reason and their only 'Plan' is spend More of what we do not have.
So Robert, try telling the Whole story, and pick up you 'I'm A Democrat Tool' bumper Sticker...you earned it.
