Michele Bachmann Promoted Bizarre, Revisionist View of Slavery

Only a jackass would assume the reader of a book wholehartedly supports its thesis. This logic, if true, would bind tv viewers as supportive to the content of network programming and police as supporters of the crime videos they review in evidence. Furthermore, are we to assume that all readers of Mein Kampf are Jew haters and that all readers of Sigmund Freud secretely want to bed their mothers?

The understanding of history is essential in forming opinion and idea for the betterment of our nation. Citing these mistakes made by those before us provide insight and warning as to the pitfalls of our decisions, and the sometimes flawed logic used to opress people and ideas. Reading about these mistakes does not signify that we endorse them.

That being said…Its essential to understand the motivation behind any work. While some, like the author of this article, believe in the flawed logic of readership = ownership, the vast majority of us are able to form an opinion on a subject through our own deductions, and not blindly follow each word.

Sadly, stupid articles lead to stupid people.

Iraq, not Iran...

Bill Hedges of MO 8:01AM August 09, 2011

Something Jamie Stiehm forgot in her article, Senator obama was against raising debt ceiling. Even Robert Schlesinger might remember Senator obama was against the seize in Iran. Later President barry used Bush's seirze in another war.

Senator barry said NO for Bush but YES for himself as President...

I guess I could go into mistakes made by obama during campaign, but I'm not. barry makes more mistakes than Michele as I have pointed out. If he can make that many mistakes, she is entitled to do the same. Mistakes is not the deciding factor in electability. Obviouusly.

Now you say "weather bachmann's misspeakes come back to haunt her, only time will tell. But before you said "the public, including the media, are not apt to be as understanding of her historical inaccuracies,as the voters of iowa are". I'll go by original statement by you. That is what I answered. Your new response is playing to my response, for your betterment. "Only time will tell" added...

I came from Africa, a slave,

To a new land where Christian whites

Forced me to work hard, but yet gave

Me teachings of Christian delights.

My body broke from whip and chain,

But my spirit filled with Christ's way,

Until I could not feel the pain,

As long as I did good and pray.

My white master saved me from sin.

I felt like a true chosen one,

Given the life that I lived in,

Helping to make Christ's will be done.

After the war I was set free.

Oh Lord, what will become of me?

michele is doing well campaigning in the relatively small world thats she;s in now.the real test for her will come when she is cast on a bigger stage.the public, including the media, are not apt to be as understanding of her historical inaccuracies,as the voters of iowa are.

"Bachmann is perfect wingnut who even the paid shills wont defend. Look we have a nutjob who wants to use this blog about bachmann to change the subject to lies about Pelosi."

"You have to know when the liars want to change the subject because they know Bachmann's dumb remarks are indefensible"

Nothing intelligent there. Here is a intelligent remark:

How about Nancy Pelosi:

What you like to forget, Pelosi caused our debt. Much of the time for past 4 years Democrat had control of Congress:

"When Pelosi became speaker in January 2007 she was emphatic that there would be no new deficit spending."

“After years of historic deficits, this 110th Congress will commit itself to a higher standard: Pay as you go, no new deficit spending,” she said in her inaugural address from the speaker’s podium. “Our new America will provide unlimited opportunity for future generations, not burden them with mountains of debt.”

"[...]When Pelosi was sworn in on Jan. 4, 2007, the national debt stood at $8,670,596,242,973.04. At the close of business on Jan. 4, 2011, her last full day in the speakership, it stood at 14,014,049,043,294.41–an increase of $5,343,452,800,321.37."

Randy is right. She's so crazy that the only thing her followers can do is come here and try and change the subject. FAIL
