51%.

More Republicans are idiots than are not idiots.

Public Policy Polling is an admittedly Democratic leaning group that has basically flunked every poll they have ever done. It should come as no surprise that they found that most Republicans are "birthers' because it helps out the group they have chosen to win. There is a reason that sites that collect and compare polling data like Real Clear Politics and pollster.com stick a D after their name.

It seems some have been wishing and hoping that Obama was born somewhere other than the United States, but to no avail. It seems that those that actually believe Obama was born somewhere other than the United States, do so because of a "feeling" they have about the subject.

Republicans had better distance themselves as far as they can from "birthers", otherwise the GOP runs the risk of being in the same groups as "Moon Hoaxers" and the "Bush created 9/11" conspiracies.

To Dan Swanson:

According to wikipedia: Obama was born on August 4, 1961, at Kapiʻolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital (now called Kapiʻolani Medical Center for Women and Children) in Honolulu, Hawaii. So that is the name of the hospital. Took me one minute to find out that deep dark secret.

Lets just see the Dr. and Hospital where he was born. The United States was a fairly advanced country in 1961, even Hawaii. They had both Doctors and Hospitals.

I sympathize with those who have fought the good fight relating to President Obama's birth certificate issue. However, it does appear to be a dead end and not worth further effort.

There are other, more pressing conspiracies out there that need to be investigated. Those areas can certainly use your investigative skills. I'm suggesting the solving of such conspiracies as Area 51, Roswell, the Air Force's Project Blue Book, faces on Mars, the MOON landing for God's sake. There are many things to focus your "efforts" on, so please be of good cheer and know your efforts are duly appreciated.

The Oxford English Dictionary defines "natural born" as "[h]aving a specified position or character by birth."

Being born in the United States, by law, makes you a citizen. Regardless of your parents' citizenship status.

It's a free country and you can make up any definition you want. But it doesn't make it the correct definition
