No. Not really:

"Full text of Sarah Palin's statement1/12/11 7:15 AM EST Updated: 1/12/11 4:59 PM EST"

"Like millions of Americans I learned of the tragic events in Arizona on Saturday, and my heart broke for the innocent victims. No words can fill the hole left by the death of an innocent, but we do mourn for the victims’ families as we express our sympathy."

"I agree with the sentiments shared yesterday at the beautiful Catholic Mass held in honor of the victims. The Mass will hopefully help begin a healing process for the families touched by this tragedy and for our country."

"Our exceptional nation, so vibrant with ideas and the passionate exchange and debate of ideas, is a light to the rest of the world. Congresswoman Giffords and her constituents were exercising their right to exchange ideas that day, to celebrate our Republic’s core values and peacefully assemble to petition our government. It’s inexcusable and incomprehensible why a single evil man took the lives of peaceful citizens that day."

"There is a bittersweet irony that the strength of the American spirit shines brightest in times of tragedy. We saw that in Arizona. We saw the tenacity of those clinging to life, the compassion of those who kept the victims alive, and the heroism of those who overpowered a deranged gunman."

"Like many, I’ve spent the past few days reflecting on what happened and praying for guidance. After this shocking tragedy, I listened at first puzzled, then with concern, and now with sadness, to the irresponsible statements from people attempting to apportion blame for this terrible event."

"President Reagan said, “We must reject the idea that every time a law’s broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.” Acts of monstrous criminality stand on their own. They begin and end with the criminals who commit them, not collectively with all the citizens of a state, not with those who listen to talk radio, not with maps of swing districts used by both sides of the aisle, not with law-abiding citizens who respectfully exercise their First Amendment rights at campaign rallies, not with those who proudly voted in the last election."

Palin talks a good game but she's clearly in this for herself. Look at how much time she's focused on herself instead of the dead and wounded from the Tuscon massacre. It's been about 1% the tragedy and 99% "I'm the real victim."

Can you blame people for focusing on Palin after the shootings? She approved the cross-hair targets on her website and Gabby Giffords was one of the the targets. Shortly after that Giffords' office was vandalized. Giffords criticizes the use of crosshairs. Palin never relents. And two years later Giffords is shot in the head at point blank range. You do the math.

Palin has portrayed herself as a gun-totin' mama. She uses lock and load rhetoric all the time. Her followers love that and she's been more than happy to oblige them. But her self focus has turned on her. Finally.

Palin reminds me of the stereotypical prom queen, pretty, popular, photographic but when she opens her mouth it's me, me, me. Like the prom queen, she surrounds herself only with the strongest supporters, people blinded by her beauty and popularity within her own circles. But she can't stand on her own. At the first sign of criticism, she's crying about being picked on.

Hopefully this will end no chance of her becoming president. Imagine "President" Palin replying to Kim Jong-il saying saying something bad about her. "Joint Chiefs of Staff: Lock and load! We're sending the nukes in!" For those of you who like that idea, think "War Games."

She is not the main vicitm of the gunman but she does not realize that because everything is about her. She should be expressing grief for the vicitms and their families not complaining about how this is affecting her. She shot herself in the foot on this one and missed a great opportunity to rise above.

Sarah was standing against the people who were trying to blame the tragedy on conservative beliefs. has anyone forgotten Nazi germany and the propoganda that was used by hitler to blame the jews for germany's situation so he could gain power? the opportunity to blame conservatives, most of whom are christians, for this boy's rampage is no accident and i think sarah has a lot of guts to stand up and call it what it is. this country is headed toward another holocaust and people will let it happen because it's easier to be a sheep than a goat. Way to go, Sarah!

She is a patriot!

If Palin is such a "joke" any more; and a non-entity who should just be ignored, why in the world do so many of you blogging heads continue to write about her?

sarah palin is just like a bad check she keeps coming back.

Right, Palin is a joke anymore.

She sure can entertain with her sniveling for sympathy, so the Palin soap opera will continue. Of course her political career is toast, though she can still play the poor victim for Fox. Yet Palin is having a tough time convincing Fox viewers why she has to defend herself. Even with softball Hanntitty questions. She is not even talking to the rest of the country, who all but ignores her but for the drama. Most think she's getting nutty by the day.

Not that the reality show queen won't try to keep getting rich off her celebrity.

At some point her lust of stardom will tarnish further as long as she keeps pandering to klan folk and dittoheads. She's already lost any credibility with most Americans.

Wonder who will be running for President on Democrat side ???

Alvin Green ?

Bill Hedges of MO 11:13PM January 18, 2011

...a national joke. Oh, "becoming"? Uh, "became" a joke, long ago, is more like it. I'm beginning to appreciate her foolishness. I hope she becomes the Republican or Tea Party candidate for President. Her candidacy will show the rest of the world just how wild democracy is becoming in America. 2012 is likely to be the weirdest ever.

Nov 2 showed barry's ability to judge will of people.

Proof positive, without question, barry doesn't get it.

That's dumb...
