Berg didn't sue Obama because he supports Hillary Clinton. He did so to push his pathetic birther cause. Recall that he filed a suit against Obama's campaign, the FEC and the DNC. He sued not on the basis of election campaign rule violations but on the basis of his allegation that Obama is not a legal US citizen due to a 1940 Law which supposedly stripped her of her citizenship. One website clarifies the matter;

"Berg cites the Nationality Act of 1940, Section 317(b) to support his claim that Stanley Ann Durham lost her US citizenship as a result of marrying Lolo Soetoro and moving to Indonesia. In reality, the Nationality Act of 1940, Section 317(b) says: "From and after the effective date of this Act, a woman, who was a citizen of the United States at birth, and who has or is believed to have lost her United States citizenship solely by reason of her marriage prior to September 22, 1922, to an alien, and whose marital status with such alien has or shall have terminated, if no other nationality was acquired by affirmative act other than such marriage,shall, from and after the taking of the oath of allegiance prescribed by subsection (b) of section 335 of this Act, be deemed to be a citizen of the United States to the same extent as though her marriage to said alien had taken place on or after September 22, 1922"

In other words, that section applies if the US citizen married the foreign national before 1922. Berg says that Stanley Ann Durham married Lolo Soetoro in 1967, 45 years after the cutoff. Therefore, this law does not apply to the Dunham-Soetoro marriage, and Stanley Ann Dunham retained her US citizenship after marriage in the eyes of US law, which is what applies in this case."

Calling Berg a "Democrat" is like calling David Duke a Republican because he ran on their ticket.

By the way, I find that something all these fools like Bill Hedges, who claim the Democrats are more racist than the Republicans, need to explain. The GOP ran an avowed KKK/Neo-Nazi for Governor who got about 40% of the vote and most of the white vote. If anything, this 1988 gubernatorial race well illustrated the nature of the political shift which took place in the post-Civil Rights Era.

Philip Berg is not a democrat you say? What a clown you are. Phillip Berg was the biggest supporter of Hillary Clinton that there was but again let's not let facts get in the way of the liberal propoganda machine. Everyone noticed I hope how Steve answered this, just like most dishonest liberals do by discounting as a nut anyone who questions Obama's birth origin. Look at the facts people, Obama is clearly hiding something here and his lapdogs in the mainstream media are allowing it to happen.

Why does obama's birth certificate needs to be sealed. If his is on line why the need.

The logic escapes me.

Can see how a reasonable person would wonder.

Bill Hedges of MO 12:17AM August 06, 2010

In another article you asked , why are political reporters getting to be a thing of the past ? You just answered your own question.

Hunter of WI 9:44PM August 05, 2010

Philip J. Berg is known nutcase and a 9/11 "truther" who filed a RICO lawsuit against Bush and members of his administration for alleged "complicity" in 9/11. He is not a "constitutional scholar" nor a "liberal Democrat" but a nutcase libertarian and conspiracy monger. In this sense, he fits in perfectly with most of the readers of this blog.
