Still true Shirley Sherrod got fired even though she informed USDA employer of mistake being made before being fired. There lies USDA central blame.

Fox did apology.

CNN:

When you go to blame Fox watch CNN mistake and what they said about their mistake.

The right-wing media initially praised Andrew Breitbart for his "great work" in publishing a video which he said depicted the supposed "racism" of then-Obama administration official Shirley Sherrod. However, Breitbart's claims quickly unraveled when more information about the incident emerged and the full, unedited video was released.

Here is Laura Ingraham's statement on FOX;

In a July 20 appearance on Fox & Friends, Laura Ingraham praised Breitbart's video and his coverage of the story, stating "Andrew Breitbart, by the way, did a great piece on this whole thing. Fantastic." Ingraham went on to ask "where was the media on this" and claimed that it took "Breitbart to come forward with this story."

The biggest mainstream media journalists have called out FOX on its irresponsible promotion of the story for purely political purposes. These include Bob Schaeffer of CBS; Joan Walsh of CNN; and Mara Liasson of NPR who is even an occasional FOX contributor. Here is her statement;

On the July 25 edition of Fox Broadcasting Co.'s Fox News Sunday, Fox News contributor and NPR correspondent Mara Liasson stated that "every entity here who did not do their homework and practice good journalism and report the entire videotape is guilty -- including Fox, who played it, but not in its entirety even after she'd been fired."

Even after the story broke clearing Sherrod and revealing that Breitbart deliberately edited the video, FOX continued to run the story claiming that it was all a White House "conspiracy."

On the July 20 edition of Fox News' Happening Now, James Rosen reported that the additional context from Sherrod's speech "appeared to corroborate" her statement that she was telling the story of "how she came to see beyond race," and then asked: "Did the White House essentially railroad an innocent woman in this because they are on edge themselves because of the Van Jones controversy, the Black Panthers Party case, and other controversies?

It is clear that FOX used this story and the two year old story about the New Black Panthers to stir up racism. If Bush's Attorney General refused to bring federal charges against the NBP for voter intimidation why should Eric Holder do so two years later. It seems like a non-story;

# The Bush administration's Justice Department -- not the Obama administration -- made the decision not to pursue criminal charges against members of the New Black Panther Party for alleged voter intimidation at a polling center in Philadelphia in 2008;

# The Obama administration successfully obtained default judgment against Samir Shabazz, a member of the New Black Panther Party carrying a nightstick outside the Philadelphia polling center on Election Day 2008;

FOX is obviously engaged in a flurry of race baiting reporting on behalf of the GOP.

Personally, not unlike most of us here in the West, I could care less about NY, Chicago, and all of those filthy and historically corrupt metropolitan areas back East ....especially DC!

A smaller government means "the people" have a much better handle on governmental decisions and taxpayer funds won't "get lost" nearly as easily!
