House Vote to Pass Healthcare Vindicates Obama's Leadership

Those were the words the President used to describe the health insurance reform bill. How eye opening! Indeed, in a representative democracy like ours, change, even change for the better, does not come easily.

How wonderful it is to have a president who is visionary yet practical, eloquent yet focused, one who, when convinced, will adopt views he was previously against, such as escalating the war in Afghanistan, does what has to be done even if he personally hates it, such as the AIG and GM bailouts, and does the right thing even if it's not popular, such as the health insurance reform.

My hat's off to you, Mr. President.

Bill, no offense, well on second though you have been hard on me for whatever reason, so hopefully you will take offense and notice of this.

Your gruffiness and antiquated way of presenting your issues are extremely mundane and basically ineffective. YOUR links supporting YOUR stance, to be effective, you should also present the counterpoint link, because for every issue there is a counterpoint.

So, as I said to you on a different blog, please don't be offended when you are waiting in line with those using healthcare, don't grumble and feel hostile because they are using the socialized healthcare your medicare card gives YOU. Don't hatem, congratulatem because now others, that are not over the hill, can enjoy free healthcare just like your socialist, communist and marxist medicare card.

Only in Amereica!! LOL!!

Is the deal that Rush Limbaugh now moves to Costa Rica or he just goes there when he needs health care?

I hope you come back to these boards on November 3. You're so classy in victory, I can hardly wait to see how you handle defeat.

My guess? Not well.

Please put away all sharp objects on November 1 - we don't want to have to foot the bill if you hurt yourself.

The GOP and the assocated tea parties have proven that they only care about one thing. Money. They don't care about poor people or sick children. They don't care about their fellow Americans, they only care about reducing their tax bill, and they don't care who it hurts. If a bill was introduced that would outlaw abortion, flag burning, and gay marriage, but raise their taxes 1%, they would vote against it. They tell us that we're a "Christian" nation, but they're not very Christian.

"I wonder how much my insurance permiums will go up next year to cover the 26 year old children of my fellow policy holders or how many without insurance for their children with pre existing conditions will join my plan (I think this number is small)"

Why would YOUR insurance premium go up because SOMEONE ELSE was allowed to keep their children on their insurance a little longer? Yearly premiums are calculated base on the number of dependents insured. If someone keeps their adult child on their insurance, they would pay for. How would this affect you? How would that be different than someone else carrying their 17 year old as a dependent?

As soon as Obama won the election the right- wing-repukes began a vicious onslaught to take him down. Guess what repukes. Guess who just got taken down a notch. Go lick your wounds and writhe and moan your usual gibberish. Worship Limbaugh and Beck and wallow in your complacent shallow world. Maybe you can deny this away too.

Spectator of OK 11:16AM March 22, 2010

As soon as Obama was elected the repukes began an organized effort to smear him and to make it impossible for him to get anything done. Look at the repukes in congress and the house. They are nothing but dead weight. The party of "nope" and the status quo. Well, guess what repukes? Obama just kicked your butts. Now you can crawl back under your rocks and return to your cult of denialism.
