Palin Denounces Limbaugh Over 'Retard' Cracks, Glenn Beck Next?

Glenn Beck laughs at the thought of someone painting "retarded children" and is openly mocking the same. Is that not infinitely more offensive than Rahm Emanuel's use of "retarded" in reference to people he thinks are acting stupidly? I agree with other comments that point out there are different definitions of "retarded" - obviously, Emanuel wasn't denigrating people born with a disability. He was denigrating people who aren't using their god-given brains.

THIS NATION HAS LOST ITS SOUL

We have become used now to routine insults against public officials and authority figures. More troubling is the spate, regularity, intensity and insensitivity of racial insults coming mostly from the Right and fringe groups. Most barbs are aimed against the black President. Not a single Republican politician has condemned Tom TanCredo's Thursday night’s racist tirade at the tea party convention. No office holder in Washington condemned it. Not even the New York Times. Instead, the New York Times studiously covered the event and elevated the convention to a level of importance it does not deserve. These days, it looks as if the Klan is on TV. They speak freely and with impunity. They don't need to match in white sheets any more. They are spewing their hate daily and the media is helping them to promote hate in the name of "free speech." In a country where the demographics are fast shifting to the realities of an increasingly multicultural society, media attitude is clearly irresponsible and can only trigger in due course a much serious problem in race relations in America. Young people wanted this country to establish a new and better paradigm in race relations. But there are people—mostly the older generation—who want to turn back the hands of the clock. “Darksiders” try to swamp us with their dark energy, creating continuous social conflicts for reasons of personal gains and control. We must fight back for America’s sake!

"Rush" is not a "Republican" as per your misquote....

Neither is "Beck." As for your twisted spin, I actually listened to Rush's broadcast that day he was talking about the whole "Rham Retard Rip," and I am perplexed at the cluelessness of your editorial? Yea, Probably should start working for the next "Obama" presidential campaign... Oh, you already started! Sorry...

Hey! No spin here!

Limbaugh wasn't referencing '...disability advocates at the White House' when he used the word 'retarded', he was talking about the same people Emanuel was -- the left wing fringe nut jobs of the Democrat party.

Because of recent events in the media and theses several articles on the word retard, I felt the need to speak out a little. The word (according to Webster's International Dictionary - Unabridged ) means 1): to make slow or slower : to delay or impede the progress, course, or event of :slow up by preventing or hindering advance or accomplishment 2): to delay academic progress by failure to promote (a pupil) 3): to restrain (a plant) from growing 4): to readjust engine timing (an ignition spark) So what's my point? When someone calls you (or something you've done) retarded. 9/10 times, I'll bet you a thousand dollars, your actions fit the actual meaning of the word. Who decided on this "Popular Morality" any way? I've proven by dictionary definition my (correct) context for using the word, would I be chastized? You bet your *ss I would. People get to easily offended because rather than control their home situation (their own kids), those same morons blame public media for expanding new thought processes, even if they are incorrect. Finding out an idea is wrong IS STILL LEARNING. Learning that an idea is offensive to you personally is still learning. And for the record, our government was ( is? ) based on freedom's like the freedom of speech, not freedom of censorship. If you want to speak out, you have the freedom to, don't take others freedoms away because you are to stupid to know that you have that same freedom ( burden ) too. Don't take my freedoms away because you are offended, use your freedoms to defend your opinion. That's what being a free American is all about.

When it comes to Sarah, Bush, and Rush; sanity statements by liberals are rare. Add Scott to list.

Superb examples are "Rush wants obama to fail". Bush stole election and Bush caused recession are two more. Bush won all counts in Florida. Bush regulations voted down by Democrats.

A simple check on line using those statements can show liberals statement are untrue. But many liberals must hold on to these errors. To justify their beliefs.

Add insults without reasons to back them.

Just for fun, I read Rush Limbaugh's transcript. He is playing you and the other media for the fools that you are......I hope I didn't insult any of those guys that entertain the king! He obviously said retard for reasons that an educated person would understand. Stop wasting our time and start filing your "articles" under garbage. I hope you didn't actually pay for your degree.

I'm not trying to insult you, just shining some light on your own embarrassing behavior. Find some time and write about things accurately or get a new job.
