My prediction for 2012 ticket is as follows.

Romney/Brown vs Clinton/Richardson

We like to blame corporate interests and Republican collusion as the reason why the U.S. is the only western country without affordable health care. As we have seen in the Massachsetts election, most of the blame still rests with the people. If people don't know what's good for them, the strongest democracy in the world means nothing. You can lead a horse to water...

Yes all you Dems who think passing this trash in the middle of the night and without popular approval of the people, you need to do just that and come the next election it will be very hard to find a dem in DC. go right ahead and shove your dubbious trash up the backside of america .WE WILL RETURN THE FAVOR

PS NOTE TO EDITOR

You might want to find a real OP writer, the ones that Gibbs is sending you arent even beleivable...try actually paying someone to do the job.

You say, and we are expected to swallow everyword you write like it's gospel that the "Bay State already has a popular, government-run healthcare plan much like the one proposed nationally, and which Brown supports."

Great, but I'd like to hear from run of the mill Bay State natives who know a thing or two about this popular government-run health care plan.

Tell us Bay State natives reading this what you like and don't like about your state run health plan. I'd at least like to get the perspective from someone who knows. One would think that if it's so spectacular and popular you'd have voted differently in this special election.

You elitist intellectuals still trying to do what's best for us because we couldn't possibly do it ourselves. The overreach, stink to high heaven "transparent" deals and pure arrogance of you socialists are even obvious to the people of Massachusetts - it's obvious to everyone except you. You have proven that you simply cannot govern. Incompetence combined with condescension, greed, corruption and arrogance. Go ahead, try it. You will have a national explosion on your hands that will banish you into the ash heap with the Whigs and Bull Moose Party.

I wouldn't trust the democrat party to deliver a bottle of milk.

And all you can do is continue to circumvent the will of the people and the constitution. Be my guest. Watch an Obama speech, let those Marxist platitudes get you emotional and fired up. Have at it, brother.

First of all, insurance companies do not want to compete on price.

They want to compete on marketing---spending YOUR dollars to do it. That is why you have a Geico gecko when you should have a mandated insurance exchange with all companies policies, provisions and prices listed side by side. Selling across state lines is not price competition. It is merely an invitation to ad wars.

Then also, if I live in New Mexico, I want New Mexico law on my health insurance. I do not want some policy from another state with the least possible insurance standards and consumer protection laws.

"Even if Brown Beats Coakley, Health Reform Could Be Saved"

Saved??? What's wrong with you? Even is deep blue Massachusetts they don't want it. Scott Brown ran on being the vote to kill it, and it only has public support in the 30's. Obama told MA this vote means everything to Healthcare reform and his agenda and liberal MA says "NO, thank you".

Face the reality of the situation, the people do not want what Obama is serving up.

Tom of MA 7:02PM January 19, 2010

people who talk about and use the argument that GOP is bad because they are "dead set" on making obama look bad are plain silly. First and foremost obama continually makes himself look bad without anyones help or encouragement. secondly how about being deadset on passing a bill that the majority of the country doesnt support. how about being deadset on turning america into a nannystate for all to be iresponsible and dependant on the govt. if you think otherwise your not looking hard enough. oooo obama against big corporations...all he does is deal and give money to corporations. look at fannie and freddie, look at george soros, look at all the back room deals with drug makers and bankers....as i said anyone who chides the GOP for there antics as if the liberals arent the worst scum of the earth is lying to themselves....and others

It is a downright shame that we have elected men to represent us and all they are doing is representing and benefitting a PARTY! Republicans are deadset on making President Obama look bad no matter what the cost to...them, as a PARTY, to their constituents, who need health care reform, to the nation as a whole who is suffering from eight years of Republican incompetency, corruption, stupidity, with the help of Democrats who are, at this point, not much better. Both parties had better get their act together or both will suffer losses. Come the next election, many are looking at NOT voting for any incumbent since they are more concerned about themselves and their PARTY, than about the voters, the nation and restoring the economy that both parties, jointly, almost destroyed. Most of these idiots have been biding their time, wasting taxpayer money for the past twenty or thirty years, and have not done a damn thing to improve anything but their own benefits and pensions. It's time we voted them all out, but first we need to cut their benefits and pensions so they will feel right at home with the rest of the nation. Through their fault, incompetence and negligence millions were left with no jobs, no health insurance, and no savings. Republicans and Dems did a real bang up job of pushing our nation to the brink of disaster. It's time to fire their as---- and bring in some new blood with term limits and new demands---no work....no pay.
