Glenn Beck Can't Spell

Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy, like the Lincoln Memorial itself, belongs to all Americans. I am participating in Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor Rally not to advance any political agenda, but to advance the concept of honor in our nation.

The Book of Proverbs teaches that before honor comes humility. The Restoring Honor Rally has been organized for the purpose of giving honor to those who have humbled themselves to serve each and every one of us by defending our great country, for honoring our heroes, our heritage and our future. If our soldiers don’t deserve honor, I don’t know who does.

My Uncle Martin did not say that we should judge men by their support for bigger or smaller government, but rather by the content of their character. That is what I intend to address on August 28.

Marcus Luttrell is a former Petty Officer First Class and United States Navy SEAL, He received the Navy Cross for his actions in 2005 facing Taliban fighters during Operation Red Wings. In 2010, Luttrell established the Lone Survivor Foundation (SOWF). The foundation's mission is to "Go to extraordinary lengths to Welcome Home, Empower and Restore American Wounded Warriors, their Families and Surviving Families” …

(Lone Survivor Foundation) SOWF, which has only eight staff members, is happily inundated thanks to Glenn Beck's promotional efforts. The group typically raises money through banquet dinners – the most one of these events has ever raised is $1 million, which caused the SOWF staff to “do a little happy dance,” according to Edie Rosenthal, a retired Navy lieutenant commander and spokeswoman for the group. Since Glenn Beck has started talking about the group on his radio and television shows in advance of the 8/28 rally, some $5 million in donations have poured in. “We've never had an event that cost this much either,” says Rosenthal. “I was at the Lincoln Memorial just looking at the number of port-a-potties and the screens that are being set up.”

How shocking ... a guy who has admitted a 1000 times that he has ADD/ADHD can't spell .... Stop the presses .... he is one in 1 of 10 million, not 1 in 10 million ....

Isn't today 08/28? Restoring honor?

Dr. Alveda King and Marcus Luttrell are the “featured” speakers. Dr. Alveda King is the niece of Martin Luther King, Jr. and daughter of the late civil rights activist Rev. A. D. King, Martin Luther King's younger brother. Alfred Daniel Williams King (known as A.D.) was arrested with his older brother and 70 others while participating in the October, 1960 lunch counter sit-in in Atlanta. On 11 May 1963, A.D. King’s family home was bombed... After MLK’s assassination ADK assumed his post as co-pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

“When I join Beck and all gathered at the Lincoln Memorial this weekend, I will talk about my Uncle Martin and the America he envisioned. I will talk about honor and character and sacrifice. I will be joined by those who represent the diversity of the human race. On Saturday, Uncle Martin’s dream of personhood and human dignity will resound across America. And the Park Police should consider themselves forewarned: As we stand in the symbolic shadow of the great American who signed the Emancipation Proclamation, we just might sing.” Dr. Alveda King

And then when Obama's daughter asks her father if he's "plugged the hole yet" Glenn Beck can make fun of her? Because she's 11? Face it, the guy's an idiot.

Mr. Robert should pay more attention to the message than the spelling.

As if none of you critics out there have never ever misspelled a word before in your whole entire life? Come on! GET REAL! It's no big deal! It's totally asinine to be spending so much time, effort and space bringing this to light. There are bigger fish to fry! [rolling eyes]

The idiot that wrote this and others who wrote similar articles are typical of the media now a days. You misspell one word or make any mistake that normal humans make and the media completely focuses an hour of prime time space just to talk about the mishandled moment. Never mind about the rest of the speech or event and the message that was the subject of the speech. Remember when Mondale said "where's the beef"? That was all the media talked about and nobody mentioned the substance of the message. Same thing with Beck... one word gets misspelled and Keith Olbermann dedicated an entire show on Beck and dedicates the show on how much of an idiot Beck is and uses, as evidence, the misspelled word. The real idiots are those that continue to claim that they are journalists when they are obviously tabloid media.

Aristotle pioneered the use of the term as a synonym for rule by the rich, for which the exact term is plutocracy.

Are you asking why other news media only report new (as in NEWS) events re:Acorn, unlike Murdoch Media who devote 24/7 to the topic while ignoring new discoveries of the incompetence and criminality of the Bush administration?

The piece is about Beck's complete cluelessness. Look up the definition of "oligarchy", then Google it and see all the references to the Bush administration.

Since you obviously don't independently check information, I'll just give you the layman's definition..."a goverment controlled by the wealthy". Yup, that describes the liberal philosophy to a "tea".
