Gingrich in office always behaved as if he were a subject of the pope. He is now busy with a money-making project involving the Vatican. Congress has many outspoken Ban-Abortionists. Some members may be secret Prolifers, there as moles to stop all efforts to reduce world populations. Earth cannot support ever-bigger populations of consumers.

We have our ways of dealing with those who criticize us, you know.

Liberal thinking, whether it be from the vast left-wing conspiratorial bunch or from the "mainstream" crowd is still Liberal -- and usually wrong for America! This thinking has destroyed the fundamental principles which America was devised by our Founding Fathers and is now wanting to finish America as it once was -- the land of the free, home of the brave.

My father disagrees with just about everything Obama has set out to do, and definitely considers himself a Republican. I talked to him the other day and he told me that he hates what the party has become. Crazy conspiracy theories, idiots shouting only to cause a ruckus, not to actually debate. This is not the party he has loyally supported for years. If they keep this up they will become the fringe, perhaps the big election in 2012 will be Green party vs Dems.

worrying about what a novelist in 1949 thought might happen by 1984. It's 2009.

The reality of 1984 was Reagan. That was bad enough. Oh, he sounded good. But the fruit of his high end tax cuts is now a sharply divided nation between rich and not---and deficits as far as the eye can see. Wake up. Newt is bad news----except for one thing. He will probably be a useful distraction to the Sarah nonsense.
