Mark Sanford is just playing around...I mean he never even thought once of not one but 4 of his sons when he was day-dreaming..leave alone his poor wife. He made his choices consciously, and he needs to be responsible for that...He cannot be definatly trusted any more and should not be tolerated at that level of responsibility as a Governor...he will easily fall off for another tanned beautiful Argentinian girl...then Ms. Chapur will cut a sorry figure.

Religion invented the (non-existent) "soul." Then script-writers created entertainment on TV, radio and stage, mentioning "soul mates." The governor's old enough to have seen countless dramas about "soul mates" and how "losing a soul mate" is an "unbearable tragedy." His declarations sound like the dialog spoken by characters playing roles of adolescents in soap operas. If his counselors are about his age, it seems they soaked up a lot of "soul mate" drama. Review Christian broadcasting and find this theme repeated. Adulterous husbands or wives have no souls. They have physical relations connecting reproductive organs. Scripture tells believers to let God guide their lives. If God's Plan for them is to break marriage vows, they drag out the "soul mate" alibi. He's a corrupt elected public servant. That's why investigative journalists are benefiting us by giving us facts.

The governor proved he was weakened by years of being counseled by fellow Christians who worked from the same Bible-tweaked viewpoint. They seem to be part of tax-funded "faith-based" organizations. Taking money means they're PROFESSIONAL counselors. By failing to change his amoral behavior, they proved they're not qualified to follow that profession. Does he have grounds for a malpractice suit against them? We need godless lawmakers who refuse to waste taxes on these quacks.

Could anyone ever imagine what this manboy is revealing to the world? Seriously...someone please call in a physician...this man is suffering from a brain tumor.

Reality check: There are children involved. He has hurt so many people in his family...irreparable damage esp. to those kids, while he keeps on and on about his "tragic love story". Second: If a Govt worker goes off for a week without prior permission for leave, he/she stands the risk of getting fired since he/she has AWOLed. Obviously, the same standard does not exist for this guy. Third, he is trying to fall back into love with his wife. Really? While she holds her breath? How arrogant is this guy! She should run from this guy...he is so full of himself and has lost his marbles.

Mark is explaining to us that Church Men, when they fall into affairs, are different from other guys. They must not only admit lapsing into the lust and the sex, but then must also trash their wives remorselessly by explaining their justifications by virtue of "soul mate" stuff they suddenly feel for the mistress while still married to the woman who birthed and raised four sons.

We don't want Mark to shut up. He is doing a great job exposing what years of Bible study and "fellowship" have done for him. We need to explore and understand this deep enhancement of judgment and character that he got by hanging around the faith shop. And, while he's still talking, of course, we need him to announce his resignation as Governor.

I've figured this out--it's all from an episode of The Andy Griffith Show in which Barney must choose between his sweet Juanita and Thelma Lou. Check out full story: http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendId=68070095&blogId=498012595

Yep-he said that he went on trips with his friends but "didn't cross the line." Oh yea......Bet his friends are petrified that their names will come out...

Well said, Mr. Schlesinger! I think that the reason he is giving us all that crap about having found his soulmate in his lover, is to convince us that he is not some sleezy character that will jump into bed only for sex, he did it for LOVE!

You know what Mr. Sanford? We don't care WHY you did it. If you need to confess, go to a priest. Just leave US alone!
