Every time I see a leftist howling long and loudly about the likes of Dick Cheney or Sarah Palin,I know we're listening to voices of truth.Isn't it funny how the libs arguements always boil down to the "tone"of the speech, not the facts contained therein?Keep up the good work, comrades. When you are bleating 24/7 about the evils/dumbness/patheticness/ect.of a Republican,I know they are doing their job,And you help make choosing our real conservative candidates much easier.Any Republican that scares liberals to death is a guy I want speaking for me.

Dick Cheney looks and sounds like he is ready to bite the fender off a moving truck. Every time he speaks he riles up the red meat yahoos who slaver at his heels. Are we really supposed to take this wierdo seriously?

This whole "torture" mess is nothing but Obama's political distraction while OUR "freedoms" wain away. Mr Obama threw out this bomb and has continuously waffled back and forth about how far it will go. The USA (us) currently HAVE "boots on the ground" that ARE at DAILY RISK.

(OUR?) Favorite Jr Senator has naively chosen to take a "high moral ground" and declare that throwing water in a Terrorist's face is "torture" while condoning AND supporting with OUR Federal tax dollars the systematic murder AND harvesting of un-born Americans. I see this as blatent hypocracy.

Mr Obama has chosen political advantage over United States Security in order to attack his rivals including Ms. Pelosi.

Chicago Attorneys have no "high moral ground", only personal gain.

Meanwhile we have an un-elected tax cheat running the Treasury with the authority to fire CEO's of OUR banks, the US government has taken control of the PRIVATE US auto industry after throwing Billions of OUR dollars into them, OUR medical AND personal information is about to be thrown onto a National Database (we all know how secure THAT is), credit cards are now "sharing the wealth" by redistributing their costs to the responsible holders, a second wave of Mortgage foreclosures is looming because IF you still hava a job and pay your bills YOU cannot re-finance your home, YOUR state government is being "strong-armed" IF they accept Federal money to do fiscally irresponsible things, AND the US DEBT has risen at a RATE UNPRECIDENTED IN HISTORY and NOBODY can tell the difference. YET!..the bill's in the mail.

Freedom to disapprove,STILL...American Idol, I vote thumbs down.

As usual the MSM is trying to tell us all how we felt about an event, and as usual the way they say we felt is that Obama beat the snot out of the evil Dick Cheney. So, if that was really true and all that the American people really want now is if for Dick Cheney to go away, how come his popularity has risen 8 points since January?? And, if Obama was doing such a bang up job on national security how come he had to change his mind on a whole bunch of things after Dick Cheney spoke up?? Hey MSM, if you really want Dick Cheney to go away try doing your job! Maybe if you actually asked tough questions of the administration and for once held the president acountable for his actions we would all feel safer and Dick Cheney could retire in peace!!

I just love how, right in the very first line of this article the author encourages his readers to forget the substance of what Cheney said and focus on the "tone." Isn't this exactly what is wrong with politics and the media? Is the author kidding us when suggesting that we ignore the substance of what was said and focus on the far less significant topic of how it was said. I can barely believe my eyes.

Maybe they'd like a different speaker to oppose Obama, like say, Bobby Jindal!

Wait, isn't he too boring?

On the other side what the hell is wrong with the GOP? The left clearly knows they're done for when they can't hand-pick their opponents, as they did in '08 (McCain--"conservative liberal Republican", longtime media favorite) and in all their "GOP advice" columns, whether it's Bobbie or Bonnie, are trying to bait the GOP into doing just that, and the morons are falling for it!

"Yeah let us handpick our opponents again Mr. GOP, you don't want that dumb girl Sarah Palin or that old curmudgeon Cheney. You want Charlie Crist, now THAT'S a Republican we can respect! Or how about Jon Huntsman, boy that's a good choice!"

I don't see why the left hates Michael Steele so much, I don't see much difference between him and Robert "Loser" Duncan so far.

The writer of this article is clearly prejudiced. Obama campaigned on closing Gitmo. He did so without knowing the facts. Now he is the president and he won't admit it but Gitmo was a good idea and it still is.

There are some very dangerous people in that prison

No one has ever escaped from that prison

Some of those detainees will not be accepted by any country on this earth.

A high percentage of those detainees that have returned to

Saudi Arabia have returned to Terrorism.

Apparently we have forgotten 9-11

Mac of WA 6:47PM May 22, 2009

Cheney is neither wise nor brave, as a draft dodger he proved that. I love it that most all these idiots that approved of these torture methods were never in the military. That they never will be prosecuted for any of their unlawful actions proves this nation has a long way to go for equal justice under the law. Dick your pathetic, the description of you HIDING in a bunker will always be the image I remember about you. Don't forget all that you had accomplished to prevent 9/11.

Tim Parker of NM 6:46PM May 22, 2009

Even Biden is admitting that Obama has no clue when it comes to Guantanamo:

"Biden continued: "But, look, what the president said is that this is going to be hard. It's like opening Pandora's Box. We don't know what's inside the box."

He also said that "to the best of my knowledge" the number of prisoners "who are a real danger who are not able to returned or tried" has "not been established" by the Obama administration."

So he basically just confirmed his predecessor Dick Cheney's analysis that the decision was taken "with little deliberation, and no plan".

To anyone who isn't stil caught up in Bush/Cheney are evil BS, this issue is very clear. Cheney is 100% spot on and the liberals, as usual are way outi n left field when it comes to national security. If you can't waterboard 3, yes 3, top ranking al Qaeda figures, including the MASTERMIND of 9/11 then you haven't the stones to fight to 21st century Islamic Terrorism. Period.
