"All you have to do is read the transcript of the Couric interview to see what she did to Gov. Palin. Then Couric receives the "Cronkite Award" for "excellence in journalism" for this hatchet job. PATHETIC. Do I even need to mention the blatant cheerleading, and cover-up job the media did for Barack?"

1. I did look at the transcripts; I still think her question was a simple one - tell me; what about the question on "supreme court rulings" or "newspapers/maagazines do you read" to Sarah Palin are "a hatchet job".

2. Obama gets his share of grief; even from Ms. Palin - she dishes it out and can't take it in return. She makes comments about who is and isn't a real citizen based on political "free choice" or location; or advanced degrees - who the heck is she? Wakeup; when you point a finger at someone, 3 point back at you.

When I look at Sotomayor calmly taking some stupid questions from Republicans and repeatedly harping on her comment - I think about what Palin would have done if Lindsey Graham asked her if she was a "bully" (Was that question asked of other men who were being vetted for the Supreme Court?). The difference between Sotomayor and Palin is Sotomayor has confidence in her self and ability to lead; Ms. Palin does not and therefore falls into the poor me antics to get attention. And the sad thing, is many of my fellow citizens in the US suck up to the behavior -

As a Canadian of social conservative/economic liberal background, I can't help but laugh at most conservatives and their persecution complex. Everytime someone disagrees with them it is the big, bad Liberals who are out to get them and persecute them- just like they persecuted Jesus Christ! Just like they want to ban Christmas, put people into FEMA farms, take away Israel's nukes, turn the US into an Islamic or Communist state (which one is it?) and use the UN to attack poor white Americans with black helicopters. No offence, but America, you sure have a lot of crazy white Christian fanatics!!! They would be a comic embarrassment if you weren't so over-represented in the world.

If conservatives ever leave their monotone community of white Christians and Jews and look at the bigger world, they will realize that it is not only liberals who detest and fear them. I live in multicultural Toronto- with a population of 5-6 million- (full of Muslims, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists and craploads of agnostics and atheists). Not many like Conservatives, especially right-wing Christian types- either Republicans in America or Conservatives here in Canada. It ain't just big-bad brainwashed Liberals, but many others (many of whom are quite religious and conservative) who can't stand intolerant, bigoted conservatives and their ridiculous persecution complex. I am sure the situation is the same in many big American cities.

As for comments by Stacy, they are typical of the kind of persecution crap that Conservatives have. Sure Biden was stupid in some ways, but Palin was just completely ridiculous and embarrassing- Couric proved that. If you guys had stopped trying to appeal to loony Jesus Freaks and put a real foreign policy candidate, things would have been much better- although both parties' foreign policy is hijacked by the Jewish Lobby, but that's another issue.

Face it! Too many Republicans are crazy and they are scaring away a lot more than just big, bad Liberals. Face up to it and change, or get used to losing!!!!

Palin continues to be a lightning rod even though her turkey, I mean, her "goose is cooked." The devisiveness she engenders has taken a life of its own. (Case in point: the comments here.)

Sarah Palin invited media scrutiny upon herself when she put ambition before rational thought and accepted a national nomination for which she was in no way qualified during a time when it was apparent that it would not be in the best interests of her family. She has whined about it ever since the election. While I'd like to say "if you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen" I'm afraid that would imply that the media is after her. They aren't. Her negative publicity is home grown. Political Life is not all campaign rallies with pitchfork waving Joe Sixpacks and other friendly GOP hockey moms in the audience. Political life is trying to work with ALL people including the press.

Gary in Pismo, learn how the Government works before you go around calling people hypocrites. BTW, smart guy, the only hatred I see these days is from the left (the media too) against Gov. Palin and her family. Enough with you.

So, lets me get this straight, this article was designed to marginalize Palin supporters right? With a line like "Conspiracy Theorists Go Nuts" in the title, it's pretty obvious. Well, let me tell you, I have worked in the media for over 9 years, and I don't recall the media ever feeling as though a politicians children were fair game. Not to mention using bloggers as sources for "hard news". Another thing, I don't recall is the media editing a politicians statements in such a manner to completely distort the context of an answer. All you have to do is read the transcript of the Couric interview to see what she did to Gov. Palin. Then Couric receives the "Cronkite Award" for "excellence in journalism" for this hatchet job. PATHETIC. Do I even need to mention the blatant cheerleading, and cover-up job the media did for Barack?

Call it a conspiracy or call it what it is, a sad fact. The media destroyed itself during the election, and only continues to dig its own grave daily. After all, they invested the soul of their industry in HOPE and CHANGE. You have no credibility with some, and are losing credibility by the day with others. In the words of the good Governor Palin, hopefully one day your yellow liberal rag will be replaced with real journalism.

I can't believe that the paranoid right have the audacity to say there's a conspiracy going on in the media against anything conservative, including Sarah Palin. (I use the word "conservative" advisedly because her state ranks as number one in pork-barrel spending.) Their hypocrisy is laughable. They must think we all suffer from short-term memory lost. They attacked everything about then presidential candidate Barack Obama, from his faith; his patriotism; his wife and even his name. It hasn't stopped either.

Everyday we here some hate and fear mongering coming from the right, either directly or by way of their political hacks like Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity or the political ideology leader of their party, former drug-addict Rush Limbaugh. If you're living in glass houses, don't throw stones. They can dish it, but the slightest appearance of criticism and they fold like a deck of cards. Cowards!

All anyone has to do is turn to Fox Noise (NEWS) anytime of the day and you will get a large dose of anti-Obama rhetoric from the time you turn on the station, until you turn it off. What about that? I guess that doesn't count. They're just a bunch of rich, paranoid, obstructionist crybabies that think the whole world is in some sort of conspiracy against them. Its not a conspiracy. Its called common sense. No one wants their policies running this country. They just got through running the country into a ditch under the Bush/Cheney white house and now they're trying to convince us that its better if we have four more of what we had before. That's insane.

If these people who live outside of Alaska and are obvioulsy clueless concerning Sara Palins lack of experience. Lack of education not to mention the way she is NOT doing her job as Govenor of Alaska...they would see just what a joke she is.

I can't believe how uninformed some people are. You are right Third Generation Alaskan!!! My thoughts completely.

Picure it...Sara Palin in the White House with her teen-age daughter and illigitimate kid whose grandmother is a drug dealer and Saras sister-in-law breaking into houses to rob them, and Sara who can't even do her job as Govenor of Alaska and who has only been out of the country once. Not to mention her small town education in journalism...and the list goes on...Whats next?

Let's see your little hit piece, NY Times. Scared of her, huh? Gotta keep making stuff up to get people to hate her, don't you? Well it's only going to backfire.

Noone likes negative disillusioned dead butts who can only trash others to bring them down to their sorry little level.

Palin's coming back in 2012 and she's going to be kicking butt.

I used to read the NY Times when I was in college until I realized how biased it was. After that, I just used it for toilet paper.

After getting sick of the incessant Reagan bashing and hidden agenda pieces disguised as straight news, I decided to go to the library and do some real research. Guess what? I found out how great Reagan really was. I studied supply side instead of listening to some two bit journalist who had no facts complaining about the poor.

I was led into Reagan's camp because the Times did one too many hit pieces on him. The same thing is going to happen to Palin. Keep bashing. My theory that she's the next Reagan can't be proven until you bash her long into her second term as president.

The media lies. Do your own independent research, readers.
