First of a all I agree with Mr. Sanchez Parodi 100%

It is high time to change the idiotic policies of the last 50 years.

As far as Democrats and President Obama--you'll lose no votes by making that change-the fanatic and obsessed "professional Cubans" most of which live in Miami will never vote for you anyway.

CUBA:

"American way of life"

Fidel Castro decided since 1959 to confiscate all American properties and businesses. He executed and jailed Americans and determined he didn't want us there. During the October Missile Crisis of 1962, this American hater wrote a personal letter to then Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushev, begging him to "nuke" the United States. Now, this paranoic dictator wants the U.S. taxpayers to finance and rescue his failed oppressive totalitarian regime.

It is estimated that the Castro brothers will pocket 5 billion dollars, if American tourists are allowed to go there for a good brainwash. Many will go to the island to enjoy cuban cigars, cuban rum and to engage in the horrors of child prostitution (jineteras) promoted by the authorities. Others in the extreme left, will go there to reafirm their ideological convictions and to bring back home new orientations and fresh anti- American slogans from "el Comandante". After 50 years of suffrering communism, Cubans see the United States as the "promised land" and the "American Way of Life "as the raw model for their future generations. The consequenses of this mistaken policy will destroy forever our present moral image and stature in the eyes of the oppressed people in Cuba. They certainly need freedom for their country.....but have no use for abusive tropical adventurers, communist fellow travelers or Castro siypathizers. I think it would be extremely wise if all this money, now destined for Castro, stay home to help aliviate our awful economic situation.

From his grave, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. answers the members of the Black Caucus who went to Cuba

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in 1968 and cannot comment directly about the hypocritical members of the Congressional Black Caucus who went to Cuba to lick the bloodied boots of a dictator that has enslaved 11 million Cubans for 50 years.

But we can quote the leader of the American Civil Rrights movement to show what he would have told those who today proclaim to follow his principles, while doing completely the opposite of what he preached.

Here is a famous quote by Dr. King, that applies perfectly to those members of the Black Caucus who went to Cuba to support an evil dictator:

"He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it. ... So in order to be true to one's conscience and true to God, a righteous man has no alternative but to refuse to cooperate with an evil system." From Dr King's book "Stride Toward Freedom," Page 51.

I am pleased to see some of the travel restrictions loosened, it is time that Washington understands that the anti-Castro Cubans based in Florida and elsewhere do not speak with a singular voice for all Cubans.

The embargo has failed and will continue to fail because U.S. international policies determined in a vacuum of failed invasions and botched assasination attmepts have failed to produce any positive results in five decades.

It is time to step back, acknowledge that our policies with respect to Cuba are not working for us, and make the necessary adjustments that are long over due.

It would be a good idea to try something different. Why I don't agree with is with its geopolitical relevance. Remember that Castro wanted to send us a nuclear missile and start a nuclear Holocaust and supported all anti-American efforts in Latin America: Tupamaros, Montoneros, FMLN guerrillas; and now is the political adviser of Hugo Chavez and other anti-

American crusaders.

I believe it makes sense to let people travel there and show Cubans the wonders of McDonald's and Burger King and the elementary freedoms Cubans don't have. But, mark my words: The Castro brothers will find any pretext to put an end to travels if they feel threatened. They have survived 50 years thanks to the tight control and surveillance of a police state.

Truth is mainstream America doesn't give a dime about what happens in Cuba. Same thing with new generations of Cuban-Americans.But we still believe Cubans need a break.

It was a bad idea to begin with and decades of wasted energy and effort. If we had relations with Cuba similar to the ones we had with Eastern Europe when they were communist, Cuba would have been free for two decades by now.

It's time to open travel between the US and Cuba. Many Americans already visit there now, which is easy enough to do through any other country. The Cuban officials are smart enough to stamp US passports with an inkless stamp to make tracing one's travel a little more difficult.

One thing for sure. It wouldn't be fair allowing only Cuban-Americans the right to travel back and forth. That would give them more rights than all other Americans.

Let's quit looking back at what "could have been" and join the rest of the world in a more open relationship with our neighbor to the south.

The split is not surprising that the poll. Although the movement in American public opinion is towards lifting the embargo, there is still too much misinformation regarding Cuba.

Once Americans have their rights restored and are able to freely travel to Cuba, the same poll will no doubt change with the overwhelming majority favoring the lifting of the embargo.

Perhaps it is why the Congressional Cuban-American leaders of So. Florida and New Jersey are so inclined to keep Americans form going to Cuba.

Certainly, five decades of economic sanctions against Cuba has not made the Cubans revolt against their government. It just lures them to the Florida straights endangering their lives to reach the green card and economic gold pot at the end of the rainbow.

When more Americans travel to Cuba they will realize as many, who have gone before already do, that lifting the embargo will benefit the peoples of both countries economically and politically then the politicians will have no choice vote in favor of eliminating all sanctions and once and for all leave Cuba to the Cubans and Americans to free trade and travel.
