Barack Obama's Teleprompter and Glenn Beck's Idiotic Demagoguery

I find it amusing that he bumbles and stammers over his words when not using a teleprompter.

Anytime George W. would stammer on his words the MSM always made a point to report it but consistently give Obama a pass.

What a surprise! Yet another left-wing dimwit in the MSM who CAN'T STAND criticism of that ABSOLUTE FRAUD in the Oval Office. Boo freakin' hoo, Schlesinger! Your man is SCREWING UP ROYALLY, and neither you nor the other socialist moonbats of the MSM have the intestinal fortitude to write about it because it falls in the face of your LEFT-WING SOCIALIST AGENDA!!!

No sir, we DO NOT WANT STALINISM HERE! Perhaps you should check the Pravda want ads.

It's using the teleprompter at the press conference that's troubling. He used it in his opening remarks which is understandable, but he continued to use it during the press conference so the people back stage could feed him the answers he was apparently couldn't answer from his own knowledge. The entourage backstage has a list of possible questions and a quick word search will yeild then the topic to put onto prompter so that the speaker can address it as though he's an expert on the subject. You're local mechanic can sound brilliant at foreign policy or on the economy by just reading what's up there. I should know -- I own a prompter company and have prompted for 20 years.

If President Obama's use of a teleprompter, is a major complaint about the Leader of our country; then I say kudos! I'm quite sure many would agree with me that any low, high or moderate use of a teleprompter by our President(s) would not connote an immoral or deviant act of behavior that would impute any type of national or international disgrace for or on the United States.

Candid observation and historical investigation, should righteously lead anyone with discernment in analyzing President Obama's body language correctly. It's not about the teleprompter per sae, it's about the foundation of the institution that the man was founded and developed by from his past. Does the words barrister, lawyer, counselor or attorney sound familiar?

President Obama's stance in his profession as a lawyer has instructed and perfected him in the value of concise and recorded verbiage. It's imperative for him to relay and assure anyone who is listening to him; that there will be less chance of someone misquoting or deliberately manipulating what he says to his public.

Remember Reagon forgot, Clinton beguiled, Bush Sr. wheedled and Bush Jr. (some say) deluded. President Obama in as much as in power given to him, is minimizing the opportunities for any of that to occur. Bam KNOWS human nature!

If the writer had seen the YouTube video of B-HO's TelePrompTer moment from last year in Bristol, VA he would know better than to write:

"When he does town hall meetings and prime-time press conferences he's off the cuff. He uses the teleprompter for his opening remarks, but for the rest of the hour or however long, he's thinking on his feet. And he does pretty well."

The prompter is a crutch to help the user appear more conversational and NOT reading from a sceipt. Town hall meetings are supposed to be informal, conversational settings where a prompter is inapropriate. "As the speaker does not need to look down to consult written notes, he appears to have memorized the speech or be speaking spontaneously..." (Wikipedia)

Even B-HO's Flock at the Huffington Post is critical of his prompter dependency:

BTW, he has 12 of them now in Europe. TWELVE!

Barack Obama is far from being a great speaker. He has perfected the use of a teleprompter...but his constant use of the 'word' umm, really indicates poor verbal skills. Ryan of TN made mention of this, so I don't think I'm alone on this.

What's MOST embarrasing is his gift today to the Queen of England. An IPOD...are you kidding me? Who is advising this man - a 14 year old? After he gave DVD's as a gift to Gordon Brown, the prime minister of England (which, incidentally, didn't work on their system across the pond), I thought this kind of thing wouldn't happen again. What is he going to give Sakozy? A six pack of Red Bull and two tickets to a hockey game?

Let's put someone on the government payroll who can infuse some class into this administration.

Since when is using notes a problem? Even Lincoln wrote the Gettysburg address down. "Certain people" are so desperate to find something wrong with Obama that they jump on this insane idea. I've been watching Glenn Beck lately to try and find out what he is talking about. He uses platitudes and cries and acts like he is saying something important, but he never gets around to saying anything substantial. He spouts opinions without really taking a stand on anything specific. I predict that within three years Glenn Beck will be on a reality show crying and eating some gross animal body parts.

Bob Loblaw of MS 1:44PM April 01, 2009

I'm twelve years old and I've been curious; if Obama is such a good speaker, then how come he says "Umm..." every 15 seconds? You know, I'm just saying. Now, Glenn Beck. I'm a regular viewer of his show on FOX. If you listen to him, you don't hear any "Umm..."s. You hear bona fide concern for his country, straight from the heart. He's cried on the program! I don't think you can get that from a teleprompter. What is most likely on the teleprompter is notes that outline his message, but by no means could it be word for word. Just my opinion.

Ryan Jones of TN 12:10PM April 01, 2009

Comparing "fitness fanatic" Bush with a teleprompter Obama doesn't work here. You should have thought this out a little longer. Obama is suppose to be a "great speaker", he does not do any great speaking without notes (teleprompting). That is what the "right wing" are trying to get across. Obama is nothing without notes, he might be just a good reader. I really don't know, I don't listen to him. I also don't know about Glen Beck, I've never heard him. Anyone who is a great speaker can go on and on and talk without notes or a bunch of "uhmmmmms", Obama cannot. You just don't get it!
