Obama Used a Teleprompter to Read His Press Conference Opening Statement! So?

Of course it is nothing wrong to use the teleprompter. I am just wondering whether he knows what he was saying the whole time he was reading from the teleprompter.

Sure, the deficit is higher, but now it's being counted correctly. No longer broken up into "emergency bills" including for a war that had been going on for years. Now we're stuck with the financial mess and thanks to the previous administration's tax cuts, the deficit is $trillions higher than it should be and it did almost nothing for jobs or our infrastructure.

I don't mind having a president that needs to consult teleprompters to get the message out, since it shows he's not spending his time memorizing his opening comments, he can spend that time working on the economy, energy policy, healthcare and national defense. Go Barack!

Folks, it's still both bad news and a LIE. To put it as simple as possible:

The US deficit stood at $562 Billion the day Obama took office.

With the plans already inacted in just over 2 months, the deficit is 338% higher for 2010 or 1.9 Trillion.

For those of you who may not know, a Trillion is 1000 Billion or: $1,000,000,000,000.

For those of you who may not know, the deficit is what we spend that we do not have.

This amount of money spent equals $4371.00 for every man, woman and child in the US.

All this from the man who labled Bush as an "over-spender" and vowed to "examine every program to cut Government waste and spending". These figures come from the Congressional Budget Office and the US Census. Check for yourself.

I would imagine your are sick of a president that actually does what he says. A president that actually let the people know exactly what is going with important issues going on in the world. President obama is not i repeat not trying to win you over. You are a lost cause and the he has bigger fish to help. If you are tired of hearing or seeing the president best advise i can give you is 1:close your eyes or 2: turn off your tv

Why doesn't the President wing it? He doesn't need the teleprompter if he is really on top of things. I don't see how he could possibly be as bad as Mr. Bushism. As long as he doesn't continue with talking about bowling and the Special Olympics, he won't have any OBAMAnations to tease.

I feel like President Obama is that kid that nobody likes but he desperately wants to be liked. I'm sick of him trying to win me over. Guess what? It's not going to happen. I don't like him.

This is another one of those GOP shiny objects to distract everyone, and as usual it's idiotic and pointless. Seriously, I really want our president to focus on important things right now, not memorizing lines.

I'm so disappointed in the press. Now, more than ever we need them to inform and report, and all we get is this asinine crapola?

And Ed Henry and CNN are starting to seem desperate. It's just not that big a deal. It was an amusing moment to most of us. So what? The guy is over-reacting to the enth degree. He should laugh it off and just move on.

Everything tiny thing is SUCH a big soap opera, The world's crashing down around our ears, and we're building sand castles in the surf. It's getting so absurd it's surreal

I think it is wise to learn from the mistakes of the past. As an International listener last night it was evident that something was amiss, however it was also obvius fromhis responses to questions that he is educated enough to recover without one. Let the critics stand before millions and have clear and concise linguistic skills without the occasional "Umm"

I thought he is definitely a huge improvement on previous press conferences led by the previous president.
