Make the AIG Bonus Babies Sue for Their Bonuses

Someone at Newsweek should make Mr. "Bob" Schlesinger pay them to post his juvenile rantings. The boy is nothing in comparison to the original historian!

He proves the point that having the same last name means nothing more than nepotism when the talent and intelligence is not present.

Give them their bonuses. Than publish their names and addresses to make it easy for the angry pitchfork wielding mob.

So the bonuses have to be paid to retain AIG's talent? Is this the same talent that ran the company into insolvency? Don't pay them so this talent will (please) leave! Give me a break!

The America created by the foundling fathers is GONE. Its time for the middle class to give up their citizenship and move back to the old country.

This is a criminal act on behalf of AIG..It does not matter what teh contract said ; break them..companies hired people promising pension fund and now have liquidated them ..can we sue them ? Heck no ..why is it different for these big wigs ?

Any one with decency would refuse the paymen t..I am not sure it is fair to blame the president ..the first bail out money was given in the Fall and no one thought thru it ..

if the Govt had known, there should be a way to stop it..there is no contract that can not be broken..let them sue the company it is worth zilch anyway .can they not save that amount from teh next bail out payment ?/

Americans Lose Everything While AIG Parties On And Our New Government Allows This To happen!!!!! Meet The New Boss Same As The Old Boss,What Little Faith I Had In This New Government Has Just Flew Out The Window. Where Is The Working Class Bailout!!!! It Sure As Hell Doesn't Exist In This 600 Or 1000 Dollar Relief Checks!! That's Barely Enough To Cover Groceries These Days.BOYCOTT NOW PEOPLE!!!! ITS THE ONLY WAY WE WILL SEE JUSTICE!!!!

Maybe Obama should just come out and say "Look I'm not advocating violence, but here are the names and addresses of those getting the bonuses." I think extra-judicial killings is the only fair thing to do in a situation such as this.

Mr. Schlesinger's comments hit the nail on the head. Bullseye! Why are we bailing out CEO's and upper management who have shown us that they failed?

How about helping the working class that pays the bills of this country? In 1990 most of us were betting (by betting I mean by using credit) that our world would be better in 10 years. Come 2000, and well, we see some changes. Come 2005 and everyone pretty much knows we are heading for a down turn of some kind, but the outlook is still good. 2006 and all heck breaks loose.

When a person who is making a standard wage of 14, has worked a job for 15 years all of a sudden looses his job, and the only thing they can find is one that pays 8 or so, that means they have to reorganize. This is why so many Americans are now in debt - what they thought and planned on to be there (a better world) didn't become reality. But they are paying their bills, slowly, and perhaps not as fast as the creditors want but they are paying them.

First the Student loans had their consumer protections removed, then the banks and financiers started working on credit card holders.

In this day and age, when having a lot of debt is a bad thing, it still amazes me that I cannot get a car loan with a half way decent interest rate, because I have NO credit history. And that I am told that if I had bad credit, it would be better than having no credit.

What is wrong with that picture? The same thing that is wrong with bailing out failed CEO's and corporations that should be allowed to fail and stop doing business.

The American Tax Payer needs a bailout more than anyone.

I think getting the names of the people involved in this is a great idea. Having this list people should track these people and boycott AIG or any other company that hires any of them. Boycotts are effective if enough people care enough to impact their bottom line. The people who take this bonus in MY opinion are stealing from WE TAXPAYERS. BOYCOTING WOULD GET ACTION IF THEY BELIEVED THIS WOULD AFFECT THERE FUTURE EMPLOYMENT OPERTUNITY.

We don't need to make the AIG bonus babies sue. If they don't have a contract for a separation bonus have them forgo their yearly bonus or fire them. If they have a separation bonus but no contract on their the amount of their pay demote them if they don't forgo their bonus. And if they have both of the above take away their parking pass and make their new office their old parking space.
