Sarah Palin, Misunderstood Intellectual? Bring Ideas Back to the Republican Party

I have to laugh at the attempt of some on this blog who try to appear intelligent. Let's see now, according to the intelligent O-bots, Hollywood druggies know what is best for America, Barnie Franks and Chris Dodd know what is best for America, Charlie Rangel and Geithner know what is best for America. How can so-called intelligent people not step back from their pompous attitudes and realize what is happening to this country which was built by middle Americans...Sarah Palin types if you will. Do you people honestly think all those degrees is what made this country great? If you want to be an arrogant intellect and live in your own little world, so be it. But don't try to foist your ignorant theories on to the rest of us. Palin will have an army of people behind her who agree with her and the conservative movement. Obama will insure that.

Here are the symptoms: http://www.angelfire.com/zine2/narcissism/psychopathy_checklist.html

My bet is she's not talking to press for now (or the next couple months) because she won't be able to sell a book if she can't demonstrate that she's willing to be muzzled long enough to get a publisher on the dotted line. Once that book deal is inked, she'll probably be back in full force.

She's not going to study... she's not going away (ever)... her illness dictates that she'll HAVE to have the attention that she's gotten used to. If the Republicans dare dump her, my bet is that she'll be an independent in 2012 (and boy will the skeletons come bounding out of the closet on all those "friends" she's with right now!)

Palin is the ultimate test of just how shallow the American people are. We had no choice on her VP selection, but if she even gets into a primary on her own steam, then America is truely lost.

She loves the camera, the attention and the thought of power. This is not a person I would want in national office. She actually thought that being in close proximity to Russia qualified her for international affair experience. She cannot talk intelligently on any subjext of national importance. I find it hard to believe that she won the governorship of Alaska unless most of the people there are as incurious as she is and also do not read a national newspaper.

Sarah Palin is the most dangerous kind of politician...few brains, some saavy and a boat- sized self-serving agenda. Sure, she speaks the language of the uneducated and superstitious in order to relate to them, but sadly, her poor speaking skills are real. She cannot complete a thought without rambling on and trying to obfuscate. This woman should never be in any public office outside of Alaske. If seh does run, she will lose, go back to Alaska and become a has been. Are you people reallys tupid enough to beleive that Palin is the best we can do? You are more challenged than I thought!

Sarah Palin does remind me of George W. Bush in many respects. Like George, her command of the English language is not particularly strong, and she has this sort of folksy appeal similar to re-runs of Hee Haw. She has also behaved in a manner that could only be described as vicious and vindictive in her handling of her in-laws, and had the price of oil not put cash into Alaskan's wallets, her skills as a Governor would also be without mention.

Strong leadership? How on Earth are we to draw this conclusion from observing this woman? I am glad I am not one of her children, that is for certain. I highly recommend she purchase some prepaid psychological and legal services for her brood.

I think, rather than being the future of the Republican Party, she typifies the very reasons that it is coughing up blood today. She is a big fake - fake leader, fake diplomat, fake Christian, fake parent, fake expert on 'energy', fake 'executive', fake EVERYTHING.

Palin and 'intellect' don't work in the same breath. She is not an intellectual and no one can honestly make that argument. So don't even try. Her appeal was the 'hockey mom' gimmick, which blew up in her face and painted her as even less informed than she already was, which was pretty uninformed.

She ain't got it, so stop trying to peddle her to us, GOP.

I went to Simmons College in Boston and my husband is a PhD organic chemist--grad of 3 Univeristies--MIT, UD and Uof PA.

Sarah Palin is intelligent and has common sense.

Intellectuals can be boring and off track. There are lots of us who are "educated" that think she is terrific.

Lois Duling of PA 7:22PM January 31, 2009

Sarah Palins intellect is totally based on what the Republican part told her . She is a good old girl that has seized the moment and has realized that "hey, I have good legs, the republicans need a woman, I can tell them what they want to hear". After all, all you have to do is speak and spread fear and those of less intellect, and easily led will jump all over the message. Sarah Palins message of fear and doom speaks well to anyone who does nothing more than listen to sound bites. Such things as : the government will take all your guns.the government is going to take all your taxes and give it to those less deserving than yourself. Oh yes, government is going to take your chrildren and turn them into free thinking adults who will turn against all those values that the parents have tried to instill in them. Not to worry however, young people have a way of eventually realizing that it is not really all about me.

Palin's an ignorant wingnut. She's no more capable of making intelligent decisions than a ferret is.

Jim Latovich of CO 4:30PM January 31, 2009

As a Democrat, I can only hope the R's keep her on their pedistal. I can only hope they'll run her for President in 2012. That'll guarantee Obama another 4 years.

Oh, and don't forget Rush Limbaugh as the official spokesman for the Republicans! Doesn't get much better than this.
