The position of Secretary of State has lost much of its luster, power and importance over at least the past couple of decades (were that not the case, the last three of four named Secretaries wouldn't have been women). And Miss Hillary is hardly going to be allowed to restore the office to its former glory in an Obama administration. As always, Clinton seeks power for herself. I don't think that's in the Obama plan.

It will be terrific to see an emphasis on the diplomatic and economic approach to international relations instead of the "our way or the highway" military dominated approach to the Bush method. Rice has been a failure at every approach made to our allies and world partners. Everyone likes Clinton and respects her. Obama has everything going for him and the naysayers need to get behind his Team and support them on changing the mess created by Bush and Company.

Dear MontanaMountainWomanofMt: Great post! Glad that there are so many intelligent women in your beautiful state, which I visited last June for a family reunion! As a firm believer in HUMAN rights & EQUALITY, I find those Clintons slimy and phony. There are many qualified female politicians out there, but, like Colin Powell, they have too much integrity to sling mud like Billary. Let's hope that in the next four years, the GOP will clean house and approach these great Americans to run against the Clintonistas, as we will need a change by then..

kmbo8ofAR, yep, you bought all the liberal nonsense about her, didn't you? As I've posted before, she's now our country's problem, and will mess up good, despite your childish and naive belief in her persona...Adios America, hello Divided States of America, starting with those who live in AR, wherever the heck THAT cactus patch state is!

What happened to reducing the budget? Its this really the time to be increasing expenses? If she can't do the job, maybe she shouldn't take.

Reading the previous emails about Hillary it's obvious that she's damned if she does and damned if she doesn't. All the good things that she accomplished for NY were to further her ambitions, not because she really believes. I'd like to ask these people if they would feel the same if she were a man. The Governator Arnold recently said that he would like to be president if the constitution could be changed to permit it and I see no one blasting him for that. Remeber folks, ALL ploticians have egos and seek power. That's one of the reasons they run for office. Singling out Hillary Clinton for this is pure sour grapes.
