CNN is the Conservative Network When it Comes to State Projections

November 4, 2008 RSS Feed Print

CNN is being admirably conservative about its projections. As I write this, they've still not called Ohio, which MSNBC, Fox, CBS and ABC—no wait, CNN just got on the Ohio bandwagon, last passengers on board.

Given the various news 'nets insistence that they'll declare a president as soon as they can—regardless of whether West Coast voters are still able to vote, and given the blunders of 2004 and especially 2000, I admire CNN's caution here.
