Sarah is a good person who the liberal media has tried to tear apart but she's tough. When things are said about Obama it's racial, or radical...Guess this is another one of the liberal left wings sights huh? Still slinging mud too. What goes round comes round

I don't see a problem here other than public officials other than Palin being corrupt. They liked traveling on a jet and retalliated against her for having it sold. Somehow that reflects poorly on her? It is typically the job of state officials to transport the governor on state transportation and a bush plane is very different from a jet. I don't see a story here other than one that is positive for Palin.

Palin's husband is a licensed pilot - if she wanted to go somewhtere why not have him fly her and then bill the state. After all didn't she bill the state for per diem costs when she operated from her homebase instead of her office.

It would seem that if you have two planes and then you're left with one, there would be scheduling problems; didn't they have someone available to schedule the use of the plane - they do it with conference rooms all the time.

It is amzzing that the McCain and Palin ticket has chosen to resort to character assasination and perpetuating lie after lie with complete exaggeration when, in fact, they have their own past issues to consider such as the Keating 5, Todd Palin's membership in the AIP, or McCain's courting of Cindy while still married. Shame on them! After McCain claimed he wanted to run a classy campaign, it is sad to see him and Palin allowing rally attendees to yell such hateful comments about Obama.

The only way Palin is getting in to the Oval Office is with a tour pass. Keep your head in the sand, when you come up for air take a look at the electoral map. You are about to see the biggest Democratic landslide since 1964.

Republicans got their wish in 2004 and re-elected Bush who has trashed this country in 8 years. As President Obama said "Bush dug us a hole & McCain carried the shovel".

Thanks again for the Palin pick, it's the gift that keeps on giving to the Democrats.

I'm glad this is in the Opinion section, because that's all it is. In Alaska The Governor and the department of Corrections share the same plane. Gov. Murkowski bought a luxury jet to use. Palin sold the jet and went back to a prop plane. Monegan missed his jet so whenever The Gov wanted to travel, Monegan replied with "sorry, we're using it." He was intentionally keeping the Governor from doing her job. As far as the carseat issue, If an employee told me he heard "rumors" and wouldn't tell me where he heard these from, I would fire the person post haste. You can't have employees keeping secrets and spreading rumors. And, on top of that, he was offered another job, which he turned down. Aside from that, The Todd Palin wasn't "confidential". The investigation was guarenteed to be open and transparent". Obama supporters tried to keep the statements confidential. "It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt." - Mark Twain

The obvious attempt of McCain/Palin strategists to postpone the truth in this matter until after the election, is further example of the deceit this ticket will embrace to avoid voters learning the truth about a minor dust up. More important that what is revealed, is the mindset that encourages Palin to clam up, refuse to honor subpoenas and avoid talking to the media. Hiding truth is a fatal flaw when it comes to political leadership. I am sadly dismayed at how far this brazen, misleading and dishonest the Republican ticket has fallen.
