Are you ready that Obama has his finger on the button of the nuclear weapons of U.S? Raise your hand.

People posting that there is no basis are NOT reading the reports. Obama was picked to chair the Chicago Annenberg Challenge--Ayers was a cofounder. Obama and Ayers worked together on the Woods Fund. Ayers held a meet and greet/fund raiser for Obama.

From CNN report:

Obama confirmed during that April debate that he knew Ayers "as a guy who lives in my neighborhood."

But the relationship between Obama and Ayers went deeper, ran longer and was more political than Obama -- and his surrogates -- have revealed, documents and interviews show.

For seven years, Ayers and Obama -- among many others -- worked on funding for education projects, including some projects advocated by Ayers.

So the question stands. Why is Obama lieing about their relationship?

When we consider the degree of crediblilty to assign to remarks uttered in a political campaign, shouldn't we take a look at how the 'truthiness' and accuracy of previous utterances by these parties has played out? F'rinstance:

~"I'm a uniter, not a divider."

~"Iraq has weapons of mass destruction."

~"We will be welcomed as liberators."

~"You're doing a heckuva job, Brownie!"

~"We should invest the Social Security Retirement Fund in the stock market, since that always goes up."

~"I served with John Kerry, and..."

THere are thousands more, and would fill a good sized book. And it appears that some who call themselves conservative can't even spell the word, much less think about what's going on around them. Try balancing out who has done more lasting damage to our nation, Osama or Bush and his current administration. RIght now, it might be a tossup, but judging from the extraneous drivel tacked onto the bailout bill for the current ring of millionaire thieves, integrity is in short supply.

Now Congress will no doubt vote themselves another raise... "Heckuva job, guys!"

I am wondering - I need to know!

Not just about the Ayers connection but also - how did Obama get accepted into Columbia University & Harvard when he says he was an average student at Occidental College & who paid for his education? And - why are there no college records of anything. I had a cousin held hostage by the Black Panthers for 3 years in Eugene, OR & it was very scary! They were very scary. I need to know - before I could consider voting for Obama -- what is the connection? He has gone under the radar for years, but that could just be biding his time waiting for this big moment. I am really scared & hope you will take these claims seriously & find out these things for people like me who have been affected by Black Pride, Black Panthers, and other really scary movements!

Bill Ayers would like nothing more than to cut the throats of conservitive Americans and make Obama a dictator. Ayers "launched" Obamas campain for the state senate. He is and always will be an enemy of freedom and Liberty and so is Obama. We are sliding head long into socialism and if Obama is elected we will lose the republic. God help us all.

Why doesn't Sarah Palin use her charisma to give us a vision of how John McCain will make America better instead of organizing an angry lynching mob against Barack Obama?

J. Russell of MI 3:02PM October 07, 2008

The type of campaign McCain and Palin are conducting is indicative of what these two candidates stand for. Fear, innuendos, half truths, falsehoods, and outright lies are what McCain and Palin are all about. Disgusting American politics as usual. If you can't beat them with the truth and what you're all about, then lie and cheat your way to the job. McCain and Palin are disgusting.

I agree with previous comment, except that "parrot" is a better characterization than "puppet."

TK of 2:19PM October 07, 2008

I am absolutely disgusted with the level to which Mc Cain and his bigoted puppet Palin have sunk in this campaign. I have been a life long republican and pray that Sen. Obama will prevail. He has been a gentleman throughout his career and I will definitely vote for him.
