I read a poll this evening which stated that 21% of Americans favour Ms Palin to run for presedency. I live in Wales in the UK, so maybe I shouldn't feel so bothered about American politics, but I cannot believe that over 1/5 of those polled would put any faith in a woman who barely seems qualified to run a cosmetics party. How the hell is she supposed to run a country?

You know what amazes me, there are still very stupid Americans out there. Since I was 15, I wondered how people cannot read between the lines with these politicians. And to this day, there are still folks that are soo stupid that they think Sarah Palin has ANY qualifications to be VP of the US. It's crazy.

Makes we want to be a politician so that i can BS people to no end and get filthy rich...crazy world.

Before going on to an interview on national television I think that you better know your stuff and answer the questions in the proper manner. Any slip up, or mess up will be agianst ya, and in this case she was speaking about something in such detail where she doesn't show the proper knowledge. That is her fault. If you are going the be a vice president of this country you better know the facts before you open up your mouth. She doesn't have my vote yet, she needs to be a more more careful.

Sarah Palin's choice as VP is astounding. It is unbelievable to me that McCain chose to be so careless with our nation's future. Those who are feebly attempting to support this choice are drinking partisan Kool Aid. The same flavor that still has some partisan Republicans chirping that Bush has done a good job. Wake up people, stop drinking the Kool Aid and see Palin for what she really is, a wasted pick that will affect our country regardless of party affiliation.

I was wide open in my selection and have never been a big McCain fan but there are too many questions about Obama.

I guess I'll have to vote for McCain at least he won't take more of my hard earned money and he will keep America safe.

Hi!

To be President, you must be over age 35, and a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN.

There is no restriction about being a dual, or tri, or even a quad citizen (a citizen of two, three or four countries).

What is, you might ask, a "Natural Born Citizen"? It is someone who is legall a citizen of the U.S by BIRTH.

To qualify, you must be:

1-Born in the US

2-Born to ONE biological parent who is a US Citizen at the time of your birth.

So, if both of your parents are illegally in the US, and you are born in Kansas, for example, you are a Natural Born Citizen.

If you are born in Germany, and both of your parents are US diplomats based in Germany, and both US citizens, you are a Natural Born Citizen of the US.

If you are born in Sweden, and ONE of your parents is a US citizen, and the other is an dual Italian-Chinese citizen, then you could potentially be a citizen of 4 countries at birth.

You WOULD be a Natural Born Citizen of the US, because one of your bilogical parents is a US citizen. You would also be a Natural Born Citizen of both Italy, and China, as your other biological parent is a citizen of both of those countries, and, if Sweden had the same laws as we do, you would be a Natural Born Citizen of Sweden also.

So, as you can see, it can get quite complicated.

However, all this talk of Obama being "not qualified" for president is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG.

It does NOT matter if he is a dual-citizen. It does not matter if he was born outside the US. It does not matter if ONE of his parents was not a US citizen when he was born.

Obama is a Natural Born Citizen because of two reasons:

1-He was born in Hawaii, which was, and is, part of the US.

2-His mother was a US Citizen at the time of his birth.

This is simple stuff that you learn in 8th Grade Social Studies. The people making up lies about Obama's elligibility to be President should've paid more attention in school.

I have lived in So Cal my whole life. I never realized it before, but I am qualified to be VP because I live in such close proximity to Mexico! Therefore, I have foreign policy experience too! They are right there, right next to my state! Oh, pick me!

To all you parents out there would you designate in your will a person who is unfit to be a parent to become the legal guardian of your children if God forbid something happened to you? Well, 72 year old, "Country First" John McCain has done just that by his disastrous pick of Sarah Palin as his VP. It is silly, really. And we might be able to let silly slide in peaceful times but with two wars, with Venezuela, Iran, and North Korea all aiming to go nuclear, with tensions with Russia over Georgia mounting again, and China racing to start its own Space Program all while the U.S. economy is crumbling at home, SILLY IS JUST PLAIN DANGEROUS! Republicans, independents, and democrats should all unite and demand a new VP pick from John McCain, just for our own security if he should get elected. Then we need to still recognize that John McCain sacrificed the safety and well-being of our country for a hopeful block of votes! This shows serious lack of judgement in this matter. I know many people like Sarah Palin and she is likeable, but let's face it, Paris Hilton or Brittany Spears are about as qualified as she to run the country! We have few allies left in this world and our competitiveness in the world is slipping. Americans sometimes take what we have for granted but we need to remember we aren't entitled to all the resources we have in this country, we need to compete globally for them. Wake up, John McCain put us at serious risk and this is not a president we want to run the country.
