This is a hypothetical situation . since it is widely held that this country runs on auto-pilot anyway ,if Obama succeeds in fooling enough of the people this Nov.,the keys to Dads' XKE (launch codes)will be secured safely out of his reach . Any Executive Order could be lost,stolen, or possibly the family dog might eat it .The military conceivably might have to do some spring cleaning among their ranks to head off splitting into factions . next scenario The Nation.Too bad for us .Never thought it would come to martial law ,but after seeing the animal side of things -(New Orleans 2005,Los Angeles early 90s',Chicago 1968) it would serve as justification for such measures. Pretty bleak imagery to be sure- just call this a scenario or a treatment for a movie.

McCain now decries greed on Wall Street and suggests a commission be formed to look into the problem. This is like Casanova coming out for chastity."

Leadership isn't taking $170,000.00 per year of my taxes and telling me to "call him if I need his help". Obama thought his socialist associates had it well-in-hand, and he wasn't needed in completing this massive theft of American assests.
Like a real leader, McCain steps in and puts a stop to it all. He will come up with a way to loan the funds needed to get things rolling again, and let Wallstreet pay it back. Like Chryler did. I think Bush is the victim of bad advice. I think Barney Franks is an obvious idiot.

It's okay to argue that either Mccain or Obama is the right choice; I implore voters to weigh their options and be sure they make their choice based on who will do the job right and not as a result of bias being planted into people's hearts in the name of politics.
Trust me, both candidates will tell you anything to get elected into office; President Bush said everything to deceive people about being the most qualified for the job, but here we are today after 8 years of being governed by a complete moron who was probably aided by "daddy" out of college and into the white house. America, THINK before you vote. If you get this wrong, the next generation will suffer.
I'm supporting Barack Obama, but no one should be compelled to support him if they know he will not put things right. On the other hand, DO NOT VOTE BASED ON FEAR MONGERING TACTICS USED BY POLITICIANS (It is dangerous).

Both Senator McCain and Obama need to stay on message and promote their solutions to our future.
Our economy won't recover by money being thrown at the problem -- much like another credit card to get us out of debt. Wall street has defaulted, and public stewardship would just maintain the status quo.
The next president should use the proposed money for job creation at home -- not abroad. The candidate that rejects wall street and embraces local job growth gets my vote.

Great move by McCain. He's losing everywhere, his campaign manager is being exposed as having been in Fannie's pocket which makes him a liar, Obama is leading by 9 in national polls, the Palinista glow is rapidly fading, he's beingout spent... So let's stop the campaign! What else is he going to do. I think his pace-maker was giving out. Gosh, now he's going back to Washington D.C. to solve the U.S.'s economic woes single-handedly. If only that gosh-darned Congress would not get in the way... Darned Congress. Always spoiling all those good ideas the White House has. McCain'll fix it. That will give us more time to read about Palin's un-wed, underage, pregnant daughter... (oh, I forgot. She's engaged. When is the wedding???)

I used to think that if McCain does become president he would be o.k. especially after 8 years of G.W Bush since anyone would be an improvement but not anymore. I now think he is a "loose cannon" and have lost any confidence in him that I may have had. I see his wanting to postpone the presidential debate as just another gothcha moment stunt which does him no credit. WE THE PEOPLE want and need this debate to go forward NOW.

There is a process in place for working out the deal. If McCain were not running for president, he would not be part of the direct process. Running for president, he can lend his support, as Obama has been doing daily, but he will not be part of the negotiations that have been going on for days. All parties involved have said that they are working well to a bipartisan solution. This was declared prior to McCains trick.
The only thing that changed from one day to the next was a consistent slip in the polls for McCain. The story here is that McCain is in trouble: Palin shoews daily that she is not qualified to be VP, she cannot handle questions and they fear her performance in the VP debate. This call for a debate delay is a ploy to at least postpone the VP debate, and at most cancel it.

Of the three debates, McCain's best chance was to win the one on foreign policy scheduled for this Friday. But with the situation with the economy, Friday's debate would really focus more on the domestic economy. McCain knew his one hot topic had become his worse topic and decided to avoid Friday's debate since his foreign policy topic was hijacked by the economy.
All three debates will now focus on the economy- Mccain's weak point. He can't figure out how to work- "I was a POW" into a discussion of the economy.
