DENVER—The best laugh I've had today came from former (Bill) Clinton aide and DLC Official Bruce Reed. Asked what the mood was like among the delegates with whom he'd spoken, Reed said:

"My assessment of the parties that I've been to—people were drinking heavily, but not indicating why."
