Osama Bin Laden's Death Can't Hide Barack Obama's Many Failures

Friend Hedges, yes, when you give everybody the same bad intel, they will all come to the same bad conclusions. I'm not giving the Dems a pass, they were wrong. There was zero reason to go to war with Iraq when we did. He had zero capability to be an imminent threat. His scuds could barely make it to Israel. Look at how long it has taken Iraq to get to where they are, Saddam wasn't even close. A better rationale to go after Saddam is because he went after George H W Bush, but they didn't use that rationale. Bottom line, we hastily rushed to a second war before finishing the first war. There was no reason for that.

Yes, Saddam had WMDs. We gave them to him.

Do you really think that the war in Iraq would still be winding down with McCain in office? McCain said expect 10 more years! So how can you possibly say that Obama was not the difference. Get a job you are suited for.

Where does US News and World Report get these weird ramblers? Your Peter Roff, a contributing editor, no less, manages to wind up this neurotic set of robo shouts against the Democratic President by saying Truman couldn't figure out how to cure the economy after WWII. Besides the fact that the economy roared into high speed duringTruman's administration -- opening up access to the middle class for many millions of Americans -- is Peter Roff saying Truman is the problem with bin Laden? Man, I wonder why this kind of confusion, even derangement, of right wing commenters finds its way so easily into print. Now, all you hangers on at this site can call me an idiot, moron, bedwetting liberal, communist stooge...

Yep, he has nothing to brag about but that he was awake that night to say to the real heroes of this mission that "they had Obama".

Now he wants the glory for it !! Ignoring what is really significant in his administration : too many losses to count....incompetences, etc. Don't know how he can trek all around the world on our dime, when he is making our USA even more broke each and everyday he is president.

I'm not pro or con about Obama, but you don't really make a strong case about his "many failures". Iraq and Afghanistan are going to be continuing efforts on a worldwide basis. I would say it has been neither a success nor a failure in both countries.

And do you honestly think that Chavez and Venezuela would start liking the US again because of Obama?

Really????

If he did chum up with that nut Chavez it would be seen as a sign of weakness and siding with a dictator by his detractors.

I think the American people need to go back to Highschool Physics Class rather than continuing to swallow this Osama bin Laden bogeyman lie.

Here's a search term to educate yourself with:

Internet Archive: Sept 12, 2001 = (1/2) * (acceleration due to gravity) * [(time)squared] (2005)

Inertia never lies, but men do.

The official lie cannot stand up to real scrutiny. This is why you must never discuss the laws of motion as they relate to the events of 9/11/2001. You may have noted the MSM never does.

No profanity used, definitely not spam, will TPTB allow this comment to stand?

bing of AL _ WITH ALL THE CORRECTIONS FOR YOU I’ve made today, I await __ “When I'm wrong I admit it. ”

1. “Bush had intel he wasn't sharing. I didn't know it was a bunch of bull” You read too fast through MY COMMENT AS WELL BING. Bush WAS NOT FULL OF “bunch of bull”. UNLESS both CLINTONS, Al Gore, ETC. are AS WELL. I wrote :

“Many times have posted links for democrats quotes, some before Bush, threatening war over __WMD__ THAT was key to war in Iraq. U.N. and other Countries joined us for this reason...”

Here’s link as I promised earlier:

2. Saddam did not have nuclear (did try to buy nuclear grade equipment) but did have WMD. He killed his people in MASS MURDERS (GAS). He kicked out U.N. observers, ignored warning, and was given ultimatumns. Other Countries joined us. Bush did not act on his own...

The Author...I stand corrected, you are correct. See, I can do that. Wonder why other people can't. When I'm wrong I admit it. I just read it too quickly. Thank you for pointing out my error.

Friend Hedges, I first supported the war in Iraq. I gave Bush the benefit of the doubt he knew what he was doing. I figured, at the time, Bush had intel he wasn't sharing. I didn't know it was a bunch of bull. The Dems rolled over and died. I blame Bush for an unnecessary war, I blame the Dems for letting it happen, I blame the CIA for rotten info and I blame the media for not doing it's job. Even if the intel had been correct, there was zero imminent threat. Saddam was nowhere close to a nuclear weapon or of having a way to deliver it. We should have stayed focused on OBL, the guy who attacked us.
