Blood Lust Won't Bring Justice in the Trayvon Martin Case

Bonnie Daves Of all the calls made to 911, the night Trayvon was shot, only one was from Zimmerman. AND IT WAS BEFORE HE SHOT TRAYVON! Why didnt he call 911 RIGHT AFTER he shot the kid?!! ...Wanted to be sure he bled to death? -OR-...On Zimmerman's ONLY call to 911, the operator answers, "...to report the shot?". ...WHY was the call answered with THAT question, instead of the standard, "911 what is your emergency?" or "911 do you need fire, police, or an ambulance?" I have NEVER heard of a 911 call answered with the ASSUMPTION it was regarding a "shot"! ...This leaves me thinking the operator EXPECTED the call. That when Zimmerman's # showed on CID, the operator answered with the question because he already knew the answer and it just slipped out. ...To me, this crime was a VERY premeditated murder! Zimmerman and the police decided to end the B&Es and burglaries by killing someone, ANYONE, with the goal of instiling fear in the ones actually committing the crimes.

I agree with DH, this article is obviously one-sided.

"another may unjustly face the loss of his liberty as a result"? How do you know if it is 'just' or not? Zimmerman took another man's life and did not go to jail, or even get tried for his actions. While Zimmerman is struggling to keep his rights, Martin is DEAD. He has already lost his life from Zimmerman's volunteered interaction, which is what you seem to fail to realize.

Moreover, while some people may not see this as a black-and-white issue (even though I believe it certainly is, if you look up what they did with Martin's body after the slaying and how the Sanford PD informed his parents of what happened) whether you consider yourself racist or not, both you know and I know that if it had been 17-year old Martin who slayed Zimmerman in "self-defense", Martin would have most certainly been arrested that night and questioned later. This is a clear case of right and wrong.

I have to wonder if 911 was expecting a call from the # shown on CID at that time (George Zimmerman's #). Are there other calls, private calls between police, dispatch, and/or GZ? Calls made BEFORE Trayvon was shot! Were police aware GZ was going to 'handle' the situation of B&E and burglary crime in that community?!

Why, at the start of the 911 call from GZ, doesn't the operator ask something like "...what is your emergency?". Instead, he asked "...want to report shots?". Although cutting short of saying "fired", why was "shots" mentioned?! Psychic at 911? I don't think so!!

Cute comments... As objective as you want this story to appear, it is quite obvious where you stand. No one looks good? There is a teenage boy who is dead. The boy died with $22.00, ice tea and a pack of Skittles. Damn how he looks...I find it hard to believe that 1 skinny 17 year old kid, can offer a man several years his senior, who is seemingly fit, deadly force without a weapon. Deadly force should have not been used. Especially when Zimmeran could have stayed in his vehicle until police arrived on the scene. Why did Martin appear suspicious to Zimmerman in the first place? I have yet to hear reports that Martin robbed or stole from the store that the skittles and iced tea are from...So, beyond walking in a neighborhood that does not have alot of black people, what was Martin doing that was suspicious? "These ass holes always get away," this Zimmerman comment was predicated on what? What did Zimmerman see Martin doing to be so concerned? I guess walking with a hoody on while black law should go to the Florida legislature because the true nature of Zimmerman's defense.

Ummm... Gun laws have zero to do with this.

IF Zimmerman had a broken nose and cut on the back of his head, maybe: Trayvon saw Zimmerman pulling his gun and tackled Zimmerman in hopes of stopping him before the weapon cleared its holster. The impact breaking Zimmerman's nose and slamming his head against the pavement (causing a cut). It has been said Trayvon was taller than Zimmerman, so his shoulder or chest might have impacted Zimmerman's face (nose). Then, if there was a struggle (TM to keep from being shot & GZ trying to position the gun for a shot) Zimmerman may have gotten grass stains pushing backwards with his feet and working him into a grassy area. Ultimately Trayvon's struggle to keep from being shot failed and Zimmerman achieved his goal.

Absurd. Arrest and let him have his day in court. That's not unreasonable, and yet still unlikely. Much better than trial by media. Oh yeah, stupid gun laws and stupid gov't officials kind of get in the way of that.

Sharpton and Jackson - Race Baiters

Without their drummed up racism they'd be out of business and would have to work for a living.

I think most blacks see through the flim-flam - others use the race baiting rhetoric as an excuse to raid a mall.
