I wasn't into this article one paragraph when the noun "Obamacare" first appeared, telling my feeble over 65 year mind that here we go, another hatchet job by yet another over paid political hack. However, since I'm a real punishment glutton I decided to read on to see just how bad it could get. Phew - there's absolutely nothing in this mass of disorganized and unsubstantiated vituperation that warrants serious attention. My question to Mr. Roff is "Where you been, man, for the past 50 or so years? Ever heard of Medicare?" You know, that Government run health organization where, if you're enrolled (all of us over 65 are, by the way) you are able to access you FULL MEDICAL HISTORY via the internet day or night - as are your care givers, thank God. Particularly in case of sudden heart attack, stroke, or just heavy indigestion. One has to wonder whether your objective was to enlighten, or to rally the crowd on the right to sweat and indignation while perhaps at the same time burnishing your "journalist" credentials. Hmm.

Your news is totally bias against OBama. You are helping to spread hate across America.

Our privacy is a myth. We have not had privacy since J. Edgar Hoover. And now Google and FB have everyone's information. So...don't make it sound like it is OBama's fault. Our doctors are all online with our health info. Everyone has it.

What about putting something about Rick Perry's big mansion that the Texas tax payer's are paying $9,000. a month for he and his wife..like he is the king of Texas. He cut Head Start most areas and it is a scientific fact that children learn the most from birth to 5 years old. He is trying to dumb down Texas children.

My thoughts are not for sale or for everyone on FB or google to read.

IMS already has them and sells them to anyone that asks. So what is the difference?

Huck Finn of MA 5:57PM September 27, 2011

There's a difference between having a right to privacy and having the right to let euros make fun of us because doctors are by and large still using inefficient handwritten, non-digital records. Time to step it up.

It's a frightening prospect, any way you look at it? No, it isn't. The government's information security is no more or less inept than the private sector's information security. If the process enables doctors to have a more complete view of a patient's health history, then it can only help. This article is nothing more than a sad attempt to cast the law into the worst light possible, with no regard for reason, evidence or logical argument. You barely take the time to back up anything, and when you do so, you do it weakly and without skill.

its not any more freighting than the insurance companies sharing data - your records are already out there - unless you pay cash!
