Despite What Democrats Claim, Voter Fraud is Real

Typical. Great story about real voter fraud, with 1 example of real voter fraud & an investigation by the Milwaukee Police Department?! I think voter fraud is a bit out of the realm of uniform police.

Good Grief! There are quite a few inaccuracies and misleading statements in this opinion piece. Individual voter fraud is not a significant problem in the United States, however the real concern lies with mass fraud due to electronic voting. If republicans are suddenly interested in voter fraud, it's funny how republicans are not out furiously passing laws to prevent electronic voting.

Each county should have a list of registered voters, and when that person comes in, they check them off. Its that simple. We need our elections to be honest and fair, PAPER BALLOTS, not shipped off and counted by some mega companies in secret. They've most likely handpicked elections as far back as 1988 or further. The new world order is here and needs to be stopped. Ron Paul 2012 if you wish to not support corruption in EITHER PARTY! Because both parties are rank of corporate backing and lobbyists buying off people. Bilderberg group and Lord Rothschild and Rockafeller are not deciding my election for me this year, no sir.

What a pack of lies. You can count the number of people successfully prosecuted for voter fraud on one hand. Its a made-up talking point to try to limit the number of people who vote. Its anti-republican (little r) because we end up with representatives who don't represent the majority, just discriminating minorities.

Discrimination is the Republican bread and butter. In this case discriminating against people who don't have a drivers license, like seniors, college students, the disabled or urban dwellers.

Voter ID is fraud and a poll tax.

Paying to get a license is a poll tax, just like poll taxes the KKK collected to keep voters from voting.

The real fraud is advocates who keep promoting voter intimidation, but these insecure sleazebags realize they can not win elections by persuasion or reason.

and its these same sleazebags who willfully ignore the real vote fraud of voting machine hacking, because its usually Republicans hacking the machines to win elections.

Wow. One whole example of supposedly pervasive voter fraud. I'm thoroughly underwhelmed. Meanwhile, after the Republican majorities in both houses of the Wisconsin legislature passed voter ID laws, the Republican governor is busy shutting down the DMV offices that are the only places to get the necessary voter ID, and, surprise, surprise, the closings are coming primarily in geographical areas that notably vote Democratic. I'm shocked, SHOCKED. And these closings are necessary as the result of budget cuts that the Republican governor forced by enacting tax cuts for big businesses in a budgetary biennium that the state was otherwise scheduled to finish with a surplus. Way to go, Republicans! Stack that deck!

Photo ID required for all national elections to make it more difficult for voter fraud!

...end of story!

Harry Reasoner of MA 9:05AM August 01, 2011

Hog wash. Where is proof of that ?

"Reverend Jesse Jackson said photo ID was the equivalent of "a poll tax." What gives you idea Peter is against better machines ? You're JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS. While you are at it verify "in the hacked software of voting systems, usually done by conservative software companies the support the GOP and vice versa" with evidence. "Usually done "(blank meaning) doesn't HACK IT WHEN MAKING A MAJOR ALLIGATION AGAINST A PARTY you oppose...

Bill Hedges of MO 7:49PM July 31, 2011

Voter Intimidation has been a standard tool in the GOP handbook, and that's what Roff is supporting. This gimmick is a smokescreen for the real vote theft in the hacked software of voting systems, usually done by conservative software companies the support the GOP and vice versa.

The real problem is the unauditable electronic voting machines that allow the private computer companies who maintain the software in electronic voting machines to change outcomes of elections to their choosing. There are a number of hold out Republican states where elections are preordained by the companies who control the software.

Demand your election voting counting systems are auditable!
